All this means is BW doubling down on the utterly dire" Starbrat with his galaxy-altering magic buttons" ending, with a couple of team mates sighing about what a good egg ol' Shep was added to placate the plebes the devs feel are too thick to appreciate their "artistry". Ah well, I had a good run with BioWare, starting with Baldur's Gate, but I will never be taken in like this by them again. And now to spend all my extra cash on someone else's product.

By the way, I have all three games and most of the DLC for all of them (I don't buy the item DLC), and I have the CE for ME3. I also own the first 3 Mass Effect books. If I don't have a connected to Mass Effect then color me surprised.

I listened to the audio interview on the Extended Cut page. While I've been aware from the beginning they would not change the ending to something that makes sense, this comment below really irritated me.

I felt like the ghost child actually made sense, what didn't make sense was it's choices and why they were reaping the galaxy.
Having the ghost child but having the endings based more on the original dark energy + gravity stuff involving the Big Rip would of been better.

Finally. Thank you, Bioware.
I go into this with rock bottom expectations, but at least I can have one last run with my favorite Shepard. Unless the extended cut actually fixes the fundamental problems with the narrative (which you've gone out of your way to deny), then this'll be my one last hurrah. Very, very sad.
My other Shepards are just going to have to pretend ME3 never happened.
