Thanks Bioware, definitely added the closure I was looking for and dispelled the other theories the original ending had me interpreting. I am satisfied even though I did not know shooting the starchild would trigger the reject ending but a second re-play of the citadel mission allowed me to see my actual choice after some unskipable dialogue...

I must say I am indeed impressed that Bioware delivered. So far I've seen two of the enddings.
I first found the new ending. It gave us the option I think many of us wanted and that was to tell the AI off. However to my disappointment it result in what I at least didn't want and that was the "So be it. The cycle continues"
Then I tried the destroy ending, being the only one I haven't done so far, and was surprised by how much it changed, telling me that the endings were now different from each other. Was also glad to see the Normandy not stuck on the planet.
One of the other things I was glad to see was that I got one final goodbye with my LI before continuing on to the beam. It made me hope we would get the "ever thought of have children" talk with Anderson but sadly we didn't.
Other than that I am glad that the endings are now better than they were before. Hopefully Bioware has learned from this and will not repeat this mistake again.

By no means I have read all the other pages, but... wow there's people who are STILL complaining that the end was too sad? You got a free DLC made in two months covering almost everything that the original ending left out. So yeah, think about it, kthanx.

I99I Dragoon wrote...
what true fans. "Oh, I hate you and your company for those 10 minutes"
EC came out to pander to you: "Oh, now I love you!"
Good job guys.
You were expecting something else?

Now this is what should have been in the real game on day 1 too bad it took them this long to realize it, if they had we would have had some post-game DLC already but o well, u did good bioware and nice touch with the other ending I havent seen a "let the bad guy win" ending since jade empire

Was it me, but the holo of Jacob Taylor didn't sound like him. . .
It did answer the questions we had.

Anyway, props to Bioware, it was a really cool thing to do. I always tought the Destroy ending was the best, but seeing what happens in the new Control and Synthesis, I can't really decide now. Hard to imagine that the Illusive Man was right all along, the bastard.

I was wondering, in the original endings, when the Catalyst speaked, did that other voice was that evident? I remember being more subtle.

Thank you Bioware for all your hard work in making the Extended Cut DLC. It was closure, answered questions... and left more for any future games set in the Universe.
My personal faith in you all as cutting line game creators is restored.

Well, to me, the premise of the ending is still not the best, BUT, with the additions that were made, I'm rather pleased. It isn't perfect, but this is definitely more along the lines of how Shepard's story deserved to end--it's an ending that I can handle well enough to go back and replay the first two games. Thanks, Bioware. Much love for going through the trouble.

The only thing that sucks about the DLC is that now I want to play ME3 again but I can't because I have to get up early tomorrow.
THANK YOU, BIOWARE. You are now back to ruining my life in a GOOD way.

Icing on the cake lads, thank you very much. No bull$h!t, i literally wept. Amazing game, always has been, and I'll always be a fan. Oh, before i forget, I'm gonna need you to shut down the multiplayer for a couple of days, it's entirley too addictive and i need to get some stuff done. My wife left me after the resurgence DLC and I'm pretty sure my dogs are dead...

I really have to thank Bioware for what they delivered to us. Even if you get the feeling that this should have been the original ending when the game was first released, I'm glad they took in consideration our complains in a very constructive way. Now Mass Effect is really something, and I wanna play it some more again.
Boo to those who dare still complain!

Sigh. Got trolled by Bioware... That's all I'm going to congratulate them for.
Because if I'm supposed to take what I just saw seriously, then you're very much mistaken.

I just played it and all I want to say is this:
Thank you Bioware for listening to us fans and give us this extended ending which gave me(at least) the closure I needed to be thoroughly satisfied by this game/trilogy.This has restored my faith in you and because of this "fix" on the ending,I can finally replay the game yet again without the horrifying thought that I would be left without answers.
Thank you.*bows*

Well, now we see that BioWare were lying about the EC just like they did with ME3. Remember, they said that they will not change the endings, just explain them? Lies:
- in the original Starbrat says that relays will be destroyed; in EC they cut that out
- in the original the relays are destroyed; in EC they are only damaged
- in the original Joker is running from the blast and the Normandy gets hit and crashes; in EC Joker is just going to some mysterious "rendezvous point" and the Normandy does not suffer from the blast, therefore does not need to crash land
The Refuse ending is a big "f*ck you" to the fans as it basically means: you lose, ****, now go and choose one of the 3 colors.
The Indoctrination Theory still stands as we can still hear Shepard's voice echoing when the brat is talking, the brat speaks in Harbinger's voice in Refuse option and Shepard in shown breathing in London rubble after the Citadel gets destroyed in Destroy ending.
Very lazy, BioWare. Fans created better endings one weeks after the game was released and it took you months to create this BS?

I've only seen one ending so far and I felt it was amazing. Thank you Bioware, my admiration for you was unwavering but I felt this truly was a fantastic piece of downloadable content especially when I consider all of the voice acting that was added and the fact that it was completely free for us, your fans.
