Dear Bioware,

I have to say, you managed to save your neck with the Extended Cut DLC. I am aware that there still is heavy debate, but I, for one, am okay with the "new" endings. Still, it would be too much to say that I am satisfied, because, truly, this is still way less than what the trilogy deserved. Maybe it is the switch from the Dark Energy plot to the Organics vs. Synthetics thing, or maybe it's the pressure you got from EA, I don't know. Because, although I can accept the new Extended Cut endings... they're NOTHING
compared to the amount of depth, love and effort put into the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. I
remember myself being so enthusiastic about playing ME3 after the Lair
of the Shadow Broker, and I only dreamed about how awesome and
brilliant the ending of the trilogy was going to be, with the second
part ending so promising. Seeing the ending of LOTSB  now just gives me a deep feeling
of sadness. I'm not nitpicking like many others, complaining about every single mystery oder unsolved question at the end, but still, after such a great journey, I expected more. More emotions, more individual outcomes, more devotion into giving this epic saga - that meant so much to so many all around the world - an ending it deserved, be it only for its length. These are far from good, but at least, they are acceptable (which, by no means, could be said about the original endlings), even though they still bear a very, very bitter taste.

I'm pretty satisfied with the game with the revised endings.  Its still like polishing a turd with the overall design choices in the starchild section being what they are but there is an emotional weight to the endings where before I felt perplexed and cheated. 

The biggest problem with the extended endings is that it didn't come out that way in the first place.  The original endings were so bad it ruined the game, the previous games and now it ruins the future.  We experience the extended cut through lenses that have scrutinized the flaws of the original endings ad nauseum and that mars the experience somewhat. 

I hope in the future, developers put more emphasis on screening their total game experience and putting out the best product they can vs. shrouding it in secrecy and allowing the flaws of the auteur to get past several teams of artists and professionals. 

Recently, I tried to do another playthrough of the single player game and I couldn't stand it.  Now, I feel like revisiting ME1 and going through the whole thing again doing things I hadn't done so despite some minor criticisms, the extended cut was a success - for me at least.

Awesome end of this trilogy. I am very glad,I can spend money on this beautiful game. And I will really happy If i can spend money on other Mass Effect games.

and i really appreciate all free DLCs and content we re getting from Bioware for single or multiplayer
i also understand that many people want to have some "happy ending" from fairy tales, but i respect author s rights to do their own decisions about story and our Jesus-style commander

the main issue with the ending was (imo) that it was confusing and there was no epilogue like in DAO for example, EC fixes that and for that im grateful, but please include this stuff in game on relase date and you can avoid so much hate looking forward for more content

Well, to be honest.. the new ending is better than the original, so that's a plus (I guess); but now I just think of how stupid I was into paying full price for a game that now was obviously not worth it.
Actually, the one thing I did while watching all three new endings was laugh (I thought) 'what a joke, this game is a joke '... Point proven in the game when I actually tried to shoot back at the spacechild/crusible/all reapers consciousness and Bioware make that into a game action and gave it the new Rejection Ending (That Sucks) - So now I'm not allow to shoot at the spacechild, you suck Bioware.

This still sucks. How is this any better than before. You get the same endings. Good job you added a slideshow with the Krogan, awesome. You have still wasted 200 hours of my life playing this series by giving me this ending. Congrats Bioware, I will never play one of your games again.

Great job indeed!! It was not what I was expecting or hoped for in the first place. But, like movies, it doesnt need to end like I want. Even so, the endings are very nice, at least for me. I got the closure I needed. I liked a lot the refusal one (VERY INSIGHTFUL). The replay value got over the roof, in my opinion.

It changed my mind about Dragon Age, as soon as I play all Sheppards I planned, I buy them all. Congrats Bioware. It will mwke me more patient to wait your feedback on other games.

Well after seeing all endings now I have to say I´m surprised, I didn´t think it would be that good.
Every cut-scene in itself is quite epic and nicely done, however I still don´t really like the ending overall.

Also, I was kind of disappointed that they have split the ME 2 team across the different endings, I
didn´t see Jack for example in the destroy ending (or is that actually Shepard´s grave she´s visiting thus the only way to see her in the ending and the guys you don´t see in the endings just didn´t make it?) nor was there Palaven I think.

The EC definitely improved the original endings a lot and the endings as a whole have their epic moments but I know they could´ve done a lot better (I for example really would love to have the chance to see Garrus as new leader of the Turians because Victus might have died on earth you know) and the major issue (for me at least) that your previous decisions don´t really matter won´t be fixed anyway, so for me ME3/the endings still kind of ruined the story/whole experience.

Even so the EC was nicely done and the ending is now a lot better than before, 3 of the different endings are still quite similar and it´s just really sad to see that one of the greatest stories ever got such a weak ending

Thanks BioWare! I really liked the new endings and expanded dialogue near the end. Definitely gives me more closure to this *amazing* trilogy.

Great ending of the Awesome Game!
At first, I thought perhaps they should have given us the whole thing right from the beginning, but I realized it is better this way.
They made us think about it! And now, I can appreciate more the whole story, with every little missing piece of the whole puzzle.

@Hulluliini - it doesn't get released on PS3 in EU region until next wednesday, 4th July. I haven't yet seen an explanation as to why this is the case, but they did say it in their initial press release. =)

Great ending with the EC Bioware! Congrats! I really dig that you opened up the interpretation to those who wanted a more literal read on it. Bravo!

Finally, thank you so much Bioware for listening to the fans. The extended cut explained the endings rather well.

Although not a great ending for the Mass Effect franchise. More in the range of acceptable.

Still, Mass Effect was a great experience.

I liked the EC well done bioware team thank you or listening to us fans and giving us a great game. I can't wait to see what's in store for the ME universe.
