In my opinion, if the star child is still there, it`s gonna be a fail.
None of it makes sense.
Even the 3 choices at the end make no sense. Whoever designed that device ( the architect or whatever ), would they have said?:
OK 1: If you shoot that, the bad guys are dead.
2: If you put your hands on these funny bars you get to control the bad guys.
3: If you jump into the big energy beam you change all DNA.
Seriously. Illogical.
It`s not about the lack of closure only. It`s about getting an ending that would actually make sense without getting high on something 1st!
The Indoctrination Theory seemed to be a ray of hope down a really dark tunnel.
I`m still hoping this is all shenanigans, but I`m not getting my hopes up!
Indoc is dead, unfortunately.
But yeah, you're right with what you said, even though it has been said like 5 mill. times.
Wow. Never thought I would be sick of Mass Effect one day. But they did it - I'm not even looking forward to the EC, actually I'm rather afraid it will tear open the barely healed wounds from over 2 months ago

Oh well, at least Bioware has the decency to make this free of charge. Not that it's a surprise per say since IT SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE GAME TO BEGIN WITH!

You only have to wait longer if you're playing on PS3.Demon Velsper wrote...
Why the hell does Europe have to wait 8 days? I'll be able to see it all on youtube by that time.

Or maybe they were busy making the extended cut so that it would come out sooner rather than later.Tekkez wrote...
I thought it was funny when they said a perk of the job is to go to cons and talk with fans, when no one has heard a peep from them since ME3 was released.

If I'm aksing why I have to wait and only PS3 players have to wait, then you should be able to infer that, yes I am indeed playing on PS3. Or at least you should be able to do that, assuming you're allowed to dress yourself in the morning.Sauruz wrote...

1,9 GB is sweet. LotSB was 1,5 GB.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst. Remember, 15 "different" ending videos at 5 min each totals approx. ~1.9GB. If you only play 1 ending, that's really just 375MB worth.
LotSB was 1.5GB of gameplay.

For some reason I don't feel any enthusiasm.
For some reason I feel sad after listening to this interview.
Am i the only one?
Because I got the impression that they didn't change the Catalyst scene in any way. Which is terrible since it doesn't make any sense.
I want to remain hopeful, but what they said in the interview doesn't fundamentally change what they've been saying. They seem to chalk a lot of "sadness" up to people not wanting to say goodbye to Shepard and ME and people just wanting clarification and closure. How they could possibly get that from everything that's been said is amazing.
Casey Hudson once said the story was as much the fans' as it was the devs'. I think not-with this announcement they indicate they are still sticking to someone else's vision for how to end a game and a story, since the choices were not original, the conflict piped in at the end of chaos and order, was not original, and yet, it was done far worse than other stories it was borrowed from. How is it possible they cannot see the fatal flaws with the star kid to begin with? Who wrote that and now feels backed into a corner and feels some need to keep it?
I will wait and see (probably not too patiently) but that interview gives me less than hope. If ABC ending and kid and Normandy crash and star gazer haven't been fundamentally changed then they are completely missing something that is right in front of their faces. I think ME3 was doomed to begin with, so much is so wrong from EMS to the idea of the kid in the beginning and the end, to the money pit crucible that logically no one would build to reaper tag and then deciding the reapers didn't even matter after hitting the conduit. I hope against hope I am wrong, but their statements don't bear that out.
I haven't totally agreed with or even wanted IT to be true, but now I'm almost begging that it is if we must live with that abomination.

I was hoping someone would give the stats for that.

2 gigs is a lot of content. Consider that the entire ME3 installation on the 360 HDD is 7 gigs...and theres a lot of cutscenes in the game.

2gb justifying insane troll logic or just 200mb. Doesn't matter. It's still insane troll logic.

That's probably the only thing that gives me hope here. It'll be great if they do a Metal Gear Solid lengthy style epiloguesp0ck 06 wrote...

That interview, however, is not.
Bioware, this is your last chance. Get this right.
Because if I'm not allowed to reject the Starchild's faulty assertion that Synthetics and Organics will always be at war, you will never get a dime from me again, and any word-of-mouth I provide will be net negative.
