Can Shep unite with people if you have the breath scene?

I hate xbox, its sux and only slowing technology progress

Almost 7 years.  MS loves their legacy BS still supporting XP after this long to.  They hate to move forward.  Be nice if Linux had good gaming support, I'd rather not give MS spit for their OS.

I'm sorry to say, but it is just NOT cool that we PC users have to conform to, and be bound by, the limitations of console folks.

PC is all MS as well for everyones information. Not healthy they control too much of that market. Valve should get into PC gaming stuff.

As in valve makes a PC with a custom OS.

I agree if Shepard can't survive no matter what I will be pissed. I would have worked my ass of in multiplayer for that breath scene, which then would be ****ing pointless. That would be just ridiculous especially since Shepard coming out alive is the only thing this EC has going for IMO.

Like puking on a pile of sh**. Spacekid is still there, circular logic, you'll see in 4 days. Unfixable.

I will be sure to DL it anyway even though I returned my ME3 to Amazon for a refund.  The more DL's I believe the more MS charges EA/Bioware.  Got to hit em where it hurts.

That podcast is disgusting to listen to.  They clearly are not sane.

My fears as well.  I cannot see how any rational adult, let alone someone that created some truly awesome stories and characters could also create the stupidest smart star kid ever.  My big toe is smarter than that.  The being behind the star kid knew enough from Shepard's mind to use the image of that kid, but then seems clueless about everything else and Shepard is turned into his idiot sidekick.  God, I hope this is better.  But I think a vomit sandwich is on the way.  With some awesome explanation for why the kid is the saviour of all the galaxy.  And the destroy explosion that kills Shepard without MP will be a different color with MP so it's not powerful enough to kill Shepard's torso.

Let's stay on-topic with the EC, please, and not degenerate into console vs. PC wars. Thanks.

In my opinion, if the star child is still there, it`s gonna be a fail.

None of it makes sense.

Even the 3 choices at the end make no sense. Whoever designed that device ( the architect or whatever ), would they have said?:

OK 1: If you shoot that, the bad guys are dead.
2: If you put your hands on these funny bars you get to control the bad guys.
3: If you jump into the big energy beam you change all DNA.

Seriously. Illogical.

It`s not about the lack of closure only. It`s about getting an ending that would actually make sense without getting high on something 1st!
The Indoctrination Theory seemed to be a ray of hope down a really dark tunnel.
I`m still hoping this is all shenanigans, but I`m not getting my hopes up!

Indoc is dead, unfortunately.
But yeah, you're right with what you said, even though it has been said like 5 mill. times.

Wow. Never thought I would be sick of Mass Effect one day. But they did it - I'm not even looking forward to the EC, actually I'm rather afraid it will tear open the barely healed wounds from over 2 months ago :pinched:

That`s exactly how I`m feeling too.

The ME Universe to me, was a love. What the ending did was gut wrenching.
I think everyone is holding thumbs for the EC to make them fall in love
once again.

To be honest though, it wasn`t just the ending for me. The beginning
felt very rushed too. Some character things through the game also making
U think WTF. It almost felt like too much development time was spent on
the very buggy mulitplayer, which at least now is coming right!

It should not have of required a 2gig DLC to fix in the first place,  it  would've been a lot easier to put all the right ending content on the disk the first go round than have to worry about it after the fact  Skyrim DLC comes out same day and alledges 10~15hours of additional game play, and is still within the 2gig limit. Don't blame it on the DLC cap, blame it on Bioware/EA's ****ty writing/ending.

I feel as someone else does, that ME was like a kind of love.  It was amazingly well done for the most part.  ME3 and the removal of continuing play with certain characters was gut wrenching and the ending moreso.  At the end of ME2, when everyone was there and looking at Shepard, I just kind of thought Shepard now had a real team, but noooooo.....

I am actually optimistic about EC now the 2gb combined with confirmed content before beam leaves me hope.

My biggest worries are
-Lack of content for non-me1 LI's (Jack,Thane ect)
-Lack of any real impact through your choices

Oh, for God's sake. If BioWare wanted to make a larger/longer DLC, all they'd have had to do is split it into separate parts. It's not freaking rocket science. I'm so sick of the console bashing and everyone blaming Microsoft for this stupid EC crap not being longer. It's the length it is because that's what BioWare wanted to do, end of story. They figure if they throw it out there that "wah wah wah, MS only allows 2 GB downloads" then everyone will jump all over MS and give them an out for not making a larger package. Anyone who works in the IT industry knows how this crap flies, especially those who have to deal with network people (who are notorious for pointing the finger elsewhere, or denying a problem, while, for example, they're in the middle of rebooting an effed up router).

So if you want to whine about the DLC not being larger, use some logic and point the finger where it belongs - BioWare.

With IT presumed dead i wonder what they can conjure up. I doubt it will live up to the standards we were once used to. I can only hope that what one colleague forum poster said and they wont open up a wound that has barely healed yet from the endings.

1,9 GB is sweet. LotSB was 1,5 GB.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst.  Remember, 15 "different" ending videos at 5 min each totals approx. ~1.9GB. If you only play 1 ending, that's really just 375MB worth.

LotSB was 1.5GB of gameplay.

Way to spoil the party.

:crying:

I do not know why they are so determined to have their, no OUR protagonist die...why it has to be a part of their "vision" it is not neccesarry that shep dies, i like that its the end of his arc, i like that there are endings where hell die....but not ALL of them....not in this series BASED ON CHOICE AND SO MANY SCENARIOS WITH THE PROTAGONIST BEING SO MUCH AN EXTENSION OF US, EVEN DOWN TO OUR OWN IMAGE, NAME, SEXUALITY.ETC etc......its just baffling and it is and never will be ok....

Actually quite right-had they wanted more time even for ME3 and to make a complete finish they could have made it into two parts as well.

As for DLC, I've got a lot of games that have more than one DLC released on the same day.  Limits on size may have reasons behind them, but there's no reason why even the DLC couldn't have been released in several parts if it was too big.  I do think the statement as to why it was a certain size was unnecessary.

The fact that the ending isn't fundamentally changed is a fundamental failure. Just like BioWare & employees.

CONCEPT not just execution.

Don't they use in game graphics to generate the scenes? So that would mean they are not normal videos and thus could take up less memory.

all that said i will hope, even blindly, until that hope has been extinguished next week that the ec will make me fall in love all over again with this series and will validate its greatness and invalidate the current bs

I love Mass Effect! It's like a complicated relationship where not everything goes the way you want it, but overall you love it, so you learn to forgive the parts you don't like and appreciate the parts you do! It's like real life!! Holy Cow!

How many new plot holes will they open in an attempt to "justify" the other myriad plot holes? Any bets?

Perhaps.  Again, the whole hope for the best, plan for the worst.  I'd like to believe it's 1.9GB of actual content and not 1.9 GB of videos split ~15 ways. But I won't hold my breath (or Shepards :P)
