Anyone else think that this "one EC thread only" thing is a damage control maneuver in case the EC is not seen as that great? I mean it allows them to try and bury any specific discussion or comments in the pile, as it were.
Oh it is. It's also why there is a warning at the top that warns people they will be banned if they don't post in the right thread.
They know everyone is going to be yelling in a few days.

Actually, I will admit I read the warning wrong. I read "thread" instead of "forum". Keep storyline discussion in the appropriate forum.
My fault.

So what's the big friggen deal with making us wait even longer?
Release the arsed thing already!!!!!!!!
They probably would but, the consoles have their own review of content and also integrating their "code" so we can download things smoothly. The worst thing would be they release it and we have problems downloading the EC. A Tuesday update is very good for EA/Bioware. If you have played the Madden series there has been a few bad rushed roster downloads that cause unrest if they don't work. Let them take their time. They don't want to tick us off more if they rush the DLC and then we can't get it anyway. They do not want a wave of more complaints.
My advice is to relax, play the MP weekend to get your EMS up to get you into a good ME feeling and have no expectations on Tuesday. Honestly after hearing the interview I am ok with giving this team a chance on giving us good closure on what they were doing. I have been one of the most anti-ending posters on here, but after hearing the interview about the EC, I understand they honestly thought we would like this, there was not a mindset that says "We are going to screw the players". I don't think they honestly realized that these ending choices would divide us. I do think they have really taken time to address the issues. If they didn't want to listen they would have done nothing at all.
This is a change to the ending, make no mistake about it, adding cut scenes is a literal change to what they wanted to put out before don't get caught up into semantics. They changed the ending.
Cut scenes are a change to what they originally wanted us to see.
We should try to give them a chance to show us where they were going. If it still sucks well I'm sure we will voice all opinions. But if not then it's all good again. They know why we hate it, lets see if they can show us why we should like it.
This is a good thing, after P. Weeks posted the EC was cleared of bugs on twitter, I assumed the final download would not be until later in July.
This is a fast DLC, they want to get this out there and get it behind them. Think about that. They don't want this controversy to continue. I'm sure they worked hard on that.

With the EC's near dismissal, although not overt denial, of the Indoctrination Delusion, there will be more. Much, much more.
And I, victorious as always, will enjoy it all.

Chances are it would be anything but.
Got to be honest. If the EC tries to justify what we originally got and makes even less sense, introducing more plot holes... I'd want to know exactly who is writing what for future Bioware titles and if the combination is the same as with ME3 then I'd be avoiding it like the plague.

HAHAHAHA! Have you ever met the BSN before? Even the games the fandom 'likes' are flooded with whining. It's what we do.

I really hope the Collector Base decision has a greater role in the new ending.

Fat chance of that happening. BSN is not BSN without the whining.saracen16 wrote...

Depends on whether or not the EC gives us what we asked for. And from what we know at this point, it won't.

It could be worse, it could be the gloomy pit of unhappiness known as RPGCodex.
That being said, I don't see the BSN coming out of this unscathed.
