So, uh, is the EC actually going to fix the real problems with ME3 and make the fans happy again?
No?
Still allergic to money?
Unclear.
Seriously though, I was hoping Bioware would be smart enough to be aware that there were PROBLEMS with ME3 to be able to fix them in EC but it seems that ... nothing is being fixed if I understand people correctly?
So, what happens now?
ETA: I'm also one of the people who can't play MP on PC because Bioware doesn't think it's important for Deaf people to be able to communicate via text in MP.
Just play the game, nobody communicates anyway. Just do your thing and stick with the team. Don't worry about communication, nobody else does.
Tbh I never listen to ppl on MP........ that's because 99% of the time no-one says anything.
ME's MP is a bit more akin to being a fish in a school. You have to learn to flow with your team mates or learn how to up your own survival odds alone, or a mix of the two.

When someone says (going with fictional beings here so as not to start a war):
"All Batarians are lazy enslaving bastards who steal everything they get...except for the few that might not be that way. So sorry to those, but the rest of them are bastards!"
Response from several Batarians:
"You have a lot of nerve saying that about Batarians. You don't know a damned thing, so you'd have been better off keeping your mouth shut, you judgmental prig. In the future, don't make assumptions because it makes you look like an ass."

I'm thinking, that most (not all of course!) of the players who are uber stressed about earning more EMS without MP are pirates without access to MP, cause i find it hard to imagine why someone would plain out refuse to play a few bronze matches just so he can have some added EMS.
Of course some players have their reasons, so to them i apologize if my generalization offended them in some way.
Well, you have to step outside of your own zone, so to speak. A lot of people just plain don't like multi-player. My brother hates it in any game. He likes stories and things, not just mindless shooting action. And have you played MP on a console? Half of all the matches I'm in end up with someone or everyone else being dumped out of the game, leaving me sometimes by myself. Sometimes, new players enter the game, sometimes they don't and a good portion of all games fail, leaving you with a lot less in everything. I've been in games where I see someone trying to run and getting nowhere or someone else who's hanging in the air. And it's happened to me-in one game every time I tried to run I would go further and further up in the air out of the map-I could see the edges of the whole map eventually.
And, it isn't as if you played it once and your EMS was set and if you never wanted to play MP again you didn't have to. MP is your galactic readiness rating. If you don't play it, that is at 50%. If you play a game and your team wins and everyone is extracted, you might get 1% or more in total GR and something I think like maybe 7% for the specific area the map you played was in per successful Bronze mission. Once you do get it to 100%, in an hour it's down to 99%. Next day it's at I think 94% and it keeps dropping down to 50. To get the "best" ending you need to have an EMS of at least 4000 for one type of character, but mostly you need to have at least 5000. At best in the game the estimate is that you can only earn something like I think 7400 TMS which at 50%GR gives you an EMS of 3700-maybe you can earn more, but I don't have the exact number. Yeah it may be that you only need a few games to bring that GR up to get to 4000--but you need a specific gameplay for that to be enough for the "best" ending. In order to get to 5000, you have to play a lot of MP to raise that GR, maybe like 16 or 17 games. And it takes about 20 minutes per game. If you don't play that in one day, you have to play more to make up for the percentage lost in one day.
Many of the reasons I sometimes dislike playing is the attitude of the other players. Don't wear a mic, someone gets mad. Other things you get to hear are people talking on their phone, babies crying, dogs barking endlessly, people chewing, vomiting, coughing up hairballs, burping, music-people generally think the world wants to listen to their music, and you also get the echo of things said in their game. The other thing many of them do is kick players who are just starting out playing MP. I don't do that, because everyone has to start somewhere. Where are they supposed to go if not in a Bronze mission? If you enter with a single digit N7 rating and a single digit leveled character, forget it-I've heard others tell players to get lost.
And then you get the people that don't think they have to help do anything but shoot stuff. They don't revive anyone, don't help hack, don't do retrievals, and aren't there for extraction. They are in free for all mode. There's also people that just will not ready up for the game. And then the wonderful times where you are playing the game with what sounds like a 5 year old.
I like MP well enough, but please don't think people don't have good reasons for not playing it and that playing a few games is all that's needed. As you said, there are those that don't have access to online-or don't have xbox live gold accounts but you can't say that most are pirates. In fact, in my area I am lucky to have broadband internet at all-other than satellite, there is only one company that provides it and I live between two fairly big US cities.
But other people find the experience frustrating and not fun and it was geared toward getting people to pay for those packs. Having it tied into SP mode was really stupid.
All this is why I hope the MP thing has been changed/fixed.

So Primarch Victus, Wrex, Major Kirahe, and pretty much everyone else will be stranded or dead...and anyone else on the CItadel will be dead....I guess that Galaxy's remaining government just got wiped out and it will break in to anarchy.

Another question here. My EMS is full right now (green bar is at the top), even though my readiness is only at 50%. I also just got the best possible destruction ending as though I have over 6000 EMS. My scores are 6536 TMS and 3268 EMS.
Did Bioware patch the game so that we don't need multiplayer any more?
I know that they said the EMS was going to be fixed, but as far as I know that was supposed to happen in the EC.
Yeah, I got Shepard gasps. I have a full green bar (no grey) on only 3268 EMS.
Hmmm, that's interesting. Only way I could test it is to go offline because my GR is high and I've got N7 characters I promoted, so my EMS right now is 8700 plus. I might do that tonight just to see though. Maybe somehow it got fixed or "bugged".

Listen to the podcast--somehow out of the way the game ends we weren't supposed to think the galaxy is screwed. In the Final Hours behind the scenes app, they had dialog that said the Crucible was supposed to cause a "galactic dark ages." That was their original intent as to the nature of the galaxy, but somehow from the ending we have now, we were supposed to think everything is just great after the reapers go away. Palaven is in ruins, Thessia is in ruins, Earth is in ruins, there's people goo and bodies laying everywhere. The Mass Relays are destroyed (the kid says that the relays are destroyed and he doesn't make an exception for any choice). The Citadel if it didn't explode though there are explosions on it in the cutscene is full of dead decaying bodies and stuff dripping everywhere. I hope the keepers still work.
So, I am pretty sure things look like crap, but hey that was an uplifting ending.

I said i think that a lot of Batarians are thieving bastards even though i'm sure not all of them are, and if some of those upstanding batarians happen to see this post please disregard it as it does not apply to you, and in the case that you chose NOT to disregard it (even though i asked you to) i apologize for offending you even though i offered no offense - basically i described a sub group within a specific group with my only so called "sin" being non specific, a "sin" i had no choice in commiting since i don't know any of the batarians in question
So anyone who chooses to flame at me does it without actually cause as far as i'm concerned, he is welcome to it if it rubs him right, but i won't participate.

Whenever your device of choice normally releases such things. Bioware doesn't control that.

Bioware is known for listening to players and they know many
are interested in this theory.
They could easily add in content like the Omega DLC, and build one where
it actually has a side story where Shepard is fighting Indoctrination.
This would be a cool way to add some interesting DLC content at the same
time giving a wink to the fan base.
I would be down for an Indoctrination DLC that happens before the ending
of the game. If they did they should add in Harbinger as the main enemy
there so if the EC does not expand on him, then this DLC could resolve
the feeling we didn't get to fight him, wither its with guns or best
mentally- argument. I would love to see a inner fight between Shepard
and Harbinger inside Shepard's mind before the ending of Me3 as part of
an Indoctrination DLC.
What do you guys think about if Bioware did an Indoctrination DLC that happens before the ending but uses some of the observations mentioned in Indoctrination Theory Videos....

Shepard: Hold it right there kid!
Catalyst: Your off script Shepard, you supposed to say where am........
Shepard: Three words for you kid. Second! Play Through!
Catalyst: Eep!
Shepard: Your ending's fried me to a crisp and made alot of my fans think I'm a weak kneed N7 pushover!
Catalyst: Hehe, yeeeeeeah. Still, no hard feelings right?
Shepard: I'm not doing it again. No more green, blue or red. This time I'm getting back on Normandy and space jumping onto Harbinger so I can pull his Eezo core out of his exhaust port!
Catalyst: Hold on, wait a moment. I have another way.......
Shepard: Bosh'tet
Catalyst: No no, you'll like this one. It was all made possible because of the fans. Tomorrow there will be a DLC that make everything that happened clear and resolve alot of plot holes while clarifying exactly how your actions saved the galaxy.
Shepard: Really?
Catalyst: Yep, and once you download the DLC you'll never see this ending again....... Ever....... Not as it is now........ Nooooooo sirreeeeee................ So how about one more for the road? You know? For old times sake? Take your pick. Red, blue or green. I'll even throw in some bbq sauce! Slap a bit on and you won't get fried. Everyone knows bbq sauce protects you from Crucible's. Trust me! I'm the Catalsyt.

Of course they won't be able to address everything and it would be unrealistic to expect them to. The worry is that the only things that will be in it will only satisfy those people already fairly happy with the ending but would like a few details filled in, and what's the point of that?Kia Purity wrote...

Should we let us spoil here? Or should I do it like I did at the ME3 Release, ignore the forum when from the start of the US-release and then join after I've seen it for myself?
Hm, difficult decision.
