If they don't completely write out the deus ex machina/star child then it's still a horrible ending and I won't be investing any more time and money into bioware.

I'll hope for the best but fear the worst. I won't be able to get it until the weekend at the earliest. That's not all bad as it'll give me a chance to spoil myself, and be prepared if it does blow it.

I suppose back when they were doing the polls I should have stated that they fully needed to change the ending rather than saying I needed more explanation on how my choices affected things.

I hope that Casey Hudson and whoever else allowed that ending to happen to have learned that when they have an idea they think is brilliant, and will shock and stun the fans, actually check to make sure the fans won't think it's the dumbest idea ever first.

Early morning, 6 AM ET in USA on Xbox (so around noon in Europe), a lil later on PS3 and PC, 2 PM ET (around 8 PM on Europe). Weird to see so much optimistics people, knowing the worse is already done and can't be fixed. Its a good bet then  all from Europe should understand they they will start in Canadian time seeing as thats where they are.

it goes by North American time(not sure the time zone) for the XBL updates usually doesn't happen until at least 10Am here in EST, not sure how origin works, I only have BF3 on there.

Well it's now crunch time. I'm hoping that Bioware have a surprise in the EC that they didn't tell anyone about. But like garrus said, prepare for the worst but expect the best. I'll be watching and waiting. Played through all of ME 3 and did EVERY mission just for this one point. Now to see if earth is saved or if the reapers have taken everything.

Haven't looked through the thread, but I think I can reasonably assume the general feeling is cautious optimism with a dash of fear for many of us.

I hope that reunion with Shepard and the crew is in there, with a little Tali love. That will probably do it for me.

Better get cracking on getting my playthrough to the Cerberus base.  Got a lot to do.

Why are PS3 owners not in North America (i.e. me) having to wait an extra 8 days? I am sadpanda. I realise the European PSN updates on a Tuesday but I don't understand why you then have to push it forward another week.

I feel an impending dread lol.
I don't think any Bioware game has connected me so deeply to the characters than Mass Effect. If it was a film I would have gotten over it by now and just never watched the film again. That's how I usually react to films with miserable, unexplained endings. But I can't do that with Mass Effect. I want this ending to satisfy me. To feel as fullfilling as the ending to Mass Effect 1 and 2 at least.
I feel that the ending we got pleased mostly people that weren't so deeply connected to the characters and were more interested in the overall story arc. It'd be nice if what they've added gives more to those people who put the characters before the ''run of the mill' SciFi story. After all, to me Mass Effect is defined by its characters, not its story.

I just hope the EC doesn't make things worse for people like myself. As silly as it sounds, the ending will define how much I want to replay the game or trilogy for that matter.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any of those troll threads saying "It's out!". Although I think I just ruined that now that I mentioned it.

I have that anxious, empty stomach feeling. I want it to do well. The series can be redeemed. It could go the other way too. Just getting a little nervous leading up to it all.

---  While this would be a nice thing (provided that the EC removes the sense of hopelessness from the end of 3) I don't think it's possible at this point.
