Lets make that clear. How many other game franchies out there actually would be fun to go back and play all the games of a franchise. How many franchises could 5 or 10 years down the road actually go back and repackage all 3 games together as a "remastered" bundle and likely still sell well? Star Wars is one of the few SciFi franchise that can do so. Mass Effect could have been another prior to the last 10 minutes of Mass Effect 3. Hopefully you've got that fixed.

Listening to your podcast... ya EA baught you the good reviews and the harsh critisium was the community calling you on what you should have taken the time to put in there in the first place. The way your ending was originally setup may have made sense to you, but that's what happens when you don't follow the process you did for the rest of the game and get the rest of your team's input. Not everyone can read your minds. The last 10 minutes felt rushed, escpially for a story that has basically been going for 10 years now.

Hopefully this will unrush it and actually be a bit more of a conclusion. We'll see.... Final though for the post. Don't do this again guys, and don't BS your community. Be up front with us and honest.

Sorry if this has been covered... BUT how do I know if the EC is already available for download for the Origin version? Will it start updating itself automatically or do I have to look for it on the web or something along those lines?

Oh I can't wait to start downloading and then start playing. It's going to be awesome with the vampire powers and the new weapons and...what? Oh I was talking about Dawnguard. Yeah I'm done with Mass Effect 3. No logic flaw fix, no deal.

I don't know for sure, but I doubt that they would set something that large to d/l automatically.  More likely, you'll have to click on the info "i" on ME3 in the Origin launcher and then select "Shop for Add Ons".  That's how the multiplayer DLC is accessed.

It would be nice if they would add a splash screen to Origin when it is available, but in the very least, there will be announcements here when it is available online.

Wonder if s/he is allowed to answer-I know you mean general terms and not the content of the EC.  I modded on one dev's website and they actually didn't mind or didn't tell us we couldn't talk about the major issue that fans were complaining about (they were writing petitions and so on), but different companies may have different rules.

There may not be as many plotholes in Skyrim comapred to ME3, but the static world was a huge disappointment for me. Not matter what you do, the inhabitatns of Skyrim just treat you the same way. "Chief of the guild? Whatever - go run some errant for me!"

Sadly though, like a real war, no one really wins here.

Bioware's reputation is tarnished, fans may forgive but customers will remember, pissed off customers more so, that employees of Bioware gave them the run around, that contrary to many postings and feedback as to what the REAL problem was in ME3's ending, that the lack of real options for truly different endings, that choice, the keystone of the Mass Effect series, actually not just Mass Effect but all "Signature Bioware games", is largely missing (compare how Dragon Age Origins ended and how Mass Effect 3 ended) was not only ignored, but obtusely used to insult fans who pointed this out, fans who were their customers.

I guess the only way EA/Bioware will understand is if their future paid DLC releases, future titles take a significant hit in sales.
Big if, considering how it seems that there are almost an equal portion of fans and new influx of fans who don't care or are more than happy with the current way the game ended.

I do think though that all this will however do significant damage to future Bioware sales regardless of title, which might be the thing to finally bring about change to how Bioware does things, but by then, for the Mass Effect series, it is too late.

It is sad to see Bioware take this route.
Sadder still to see why.
