That was obvious though...
I was trying to explain that to people since before the game was released over on that Space Edition spoiler group and the original ending thread. The level of refusal to believe that was nothing short of astounding. It ranged all the way from "Hackett would never give that order!" to "Joker would never leave, even if Hackett ordered him!" all the way straight through to "Joker didn't have time to run!".
Please no one start that here. There is no logical way to explain it so just don't start. I know many people think they are clairvoyant in some way, but no explanation you come up with can justify the logical fallacies not even considering the character inconsistencies

Something I noticed in the interview, they talked about how they knew this would be the end of Shepard's story but they want to imply that the crew lives on in the new galaxy but if Shepard survives the destroy ending shouldn't he live on as well? This is what I am most eager to find out on Tuesday.
Also I'm happy it's coming out so much sooner but also worried, I gladly would have waited until August just so they could make it even longer but I guess there are limits to what they can do since it's free DLC.
*Also shame on Bioware for leaving Kaidan out of the promo pic*

So it'll literally only provide closure? No changes at all to the Catalyst scene? Not even a few additional lines just so the scene isn't completely nonsensical?
I think I'll stick with my headcanon...

Spoiler maybe; The 4th picture on the announcement site looks like a "Shepard Funeral" in front of the Memorial wall on a crashed Normandy.

Honestly I think one of the things they will change is that they will delete the "Shepard gasping for air" scene from the destroy ending. I am pretty sure they will make it be so Shepard is dead no matter what. Also Jennifer Hale had said before that she never got any invites from BW to come back for more Ending stuff (albeit that interview was a few months ago so something could have changed).
However I still am pretty sure they will probably delete that little scene with Shepard breathing in the rubble.

It's a shame I will be out of town and unable to enjoy the immense failure which you all call the EC when it arrives.
But nonetheless, the destruction of the Indoctrination Delusion, will surely make up for the overwhelming sense of despair which will surely arise from such a catastrophic disappointment.

I too noticed this. I hope that this is just ONE of the posibilities... Oh I'm going to be so furious if my Shep does not survive at all and get reunited with LI.

"Closure with the characters" this is great and all, but the overarching story was what was butchered the most
And weird...
It felt strange when the game pushed you back just exactly before the Cerberus base assault, and now the Extended Cut begins there, hmmm...

Yeah, I think I might just watch the EC on youtube while playing Dawnguard.
