we get a reject ending?! YES !  Hopefully one that allows a pyrhic victory as the combined fleet was kicking arse before the crucible

Watched the Synthesis ending (gonna go for destroy so it's ok to spoiler me there) and I was pretty impressed. Bit pissed maybe, that Shepard dies (at least here) but it now truly seems to be the best option, at least when you think about the others and not yourself. Well, hope the EC for PC comes soon, wanna game^^

can anyone confirm that going from the cerberus base is necessary because i have heard the ex cut starts at the run to the beam

Yes it is, it's the last check point before the main attack.

I am playing it right now, well not the EC, the game ;-) so I guess I can just continue, and save before the Cerberus attack then -- and then download the EC and continue?
(that would be great - I really do not like all the, so called, fetch quests so I'll be happy if this is the case and I wouldn't have to start a new playthrough --- well not today at least ;-))

Yes, absolutely. A new playthrough is NOT required. That would be something if you'd have to replay the complete game for the new endings..

The EC is avaliable on the Xbox in Sweden as of 17:10 (5:10 PM) so I suppose that means it is there for all Europeans... Maybe...? Or at leats Central Europe...maybe

I believe you will have to start from before the last Cerberus mission....according to posts here (I do not know myself)

Like Bioware said, you have to restart from the last checkpoint which is the attack on the Ceberus base. When you have the EC installed you automaticaly get the new endings.

I wonder why it's not on Origin yet. I mean... it's EA's own store, you'd think they'd make it available faster. Really looked forward to give EC an honest shot today, now it looks like it'll have to wait. Oh well.

Yep, you have to load a save from before you attack Cerberus HQ.

I was a hater of the original endings, and I was a believer in the IT, but now I truly do enjoy the endings.

PS: @ Raging Nug, I have noticed that it goes faster if I turn off, and then on my Xbox again, and then continue the download....it's always been like that, for me, for some strange reason..
