I liked the original ending so this one was more of a pleasant expansion.....I like the explanations cause they are as I always knew them to be so there wasn't any surprises in that part. The battle scenes were cool and I dont remember Hacket saying correctly they we couldn't beat the reapers conventionally before. This will be a good ending for those who didn't understand the endings and those who did but wanted more closure.....But for the extreme haters they will still hate. It is all they know. Most likely they didn't even play the game.
Making such crude generalizations about those unwilling to overlook the remaining plot holes and such doesn't make their concerns any less valid.
If believing that makes you feel better.
If the only way to keep Shepard as he was is to cause the extinction of the entire current galactic civilization suits you, be my guest.
But remember, they set this game up so we would choose how the story unfolded. This is not Final Fantasy or other such games, where the story is set in stone no matter how many times you play.

Thanatos is back bullying people again. Thanatos, you have repeatedly indicated a lack of knowledge about the games. If you had played them and remembered things in them you would know that the star kid was not foreshadowed anywhere. It's been repeated over and over again, but you continue to attempt to bully others and cast your own limitations upon them. You have never addressed your own misunderstandings of the game. Time and again people pointed out that the kid or his kind is not addressed in any memorable way within the 3 games, but then shows up to try and steal the show at the end. That still exists.
The choices are not explained as you've always seen them-in fact, you often totally contradicted your own views of what they meant. The choices still stand as artificially inserted things used to funnel many different choices into 3 abhorrent options. Fundamentally they are the same as they have always been. They only sound prettier. And yet, they are offered by an even crazier star kid and now people think they make more sense in some equally crazy way. This even though most felt that no amount of explanation would make them make sense-and they still don't. They are still based on flawed logic and extra flawed logic.
The Normandy picking up people in front of Harbinger is one of the biggest laughs that this game has ever had. Yes, that makes real sense. But it was inserted to explain the inexplicable. As was Hackett telling everyone to get out of there and Hackett getting information that Shepard was on the Citadel. Uh, how's that known?
Then reject, the greatest corruption of what people wanted of all time. Oh, but people wanted it... No, they didn't want this, not in this way.
And while we're at it, I do not know how someone anyone, you or others can take such pleasure in people being unhappy in not getting something pleasant at the end of what you have said before, "is just a game". As a game, there should be a true win possibility. You don't think people should get this basically because you don't like the people that want it. Well, here's the difference between you and I. If you had wanted a happier ending as a possibility, I don't like you, but I'd still hope you got it. Because there's never anything wrong with wishing for things to be a little happier in this world and this life, games included. Entertainment should be fun and games should stick with their own winning formulae. And they should keep the promises made within earlier games in the series, the main one being that the hero matters above all else. Shepard in the destroy ending is treated like a pile of garbage, and in the others is just expendable meat. So, Thanny, you are right, s/he is a myth and IMO is no legend.

if you want to stop ALL of this, its really simple, just do what almost everybody else here does and post your opinion and DO NOT engage anyone else. dont call names, dont even pretend other people exist. JUST YOUR OPINION that DOES NOT involve another living being. every opinion you post is legitimate, and youre entitled to that, but you immediatly destroy your own credibility when you revert to name calling in ANY circumstance.
the only reason im posting this is to do SOMETHING to try to stop this bull****. dont even try to call me names or argue with me, im flat out ignoring you after this post, and if the conversation goes off topic ill flood the page with relevent questions and comments to try to steer everybody back on course.

I mean, if she's alive and this is an EC, why not show how she's been picked up by her crew?
I felt better with these endings, but the only thing I don't want atm is more speculation.
If there will by an Expansion Pack or ME4, they should say it. Otherwise, they should've let that scene aside or show the ending named "happy"..
Really, this is the one thing that really bugs me oO

They made the endings better, not great but better. I can live with that. But I will not buy anything else for ME series now that Shepard which we played as in the game of the last 5 years is dead.
So I see no reason to keep playing more of the ME series. And why should I pay for it? When it's EA who owns BW

I don't want to be considered a hater or someone who is never happy with what given, but.. when they even went through the work of making an EC, why not show the happy family? Because it would not fit into that general feeling of the game? Just asking, it really confuses me and I would be very willing to nod to a good explanation.
Also, I'm still the naiv person hoping for an EP or more, I admit it

So YOLO (sry for that dumb quote) - real life sucks often enough, so some happy stupid endings in a videogame would have been nice, I guess.. hehe.

This is the main point of the whole thing-that and that Shepard hasn't had a real life yet and just plain kept sacrificing for everyone else.
Real life is hard-entertainment is escapism. I have 2 types of dreams that also are somewhat like escapism-one is the nightmare and one is a happy floaty kind of thing. One I want to wake up from, the other one I might like to last a little longer before I awaken. Games are like this. Nightmare endings are ok, and I classify sad ones along with this, but ME3 has 3 certain death or gone endings for Shepard with everything shown. It has one possible happier ending (and a Shepard lives ending is the only happier ending for many), but that's left for us to guess at. I've always wished everyone got the least that they hoped for in the ending. For a large group of us, we didn't get a thing we hoped for.
If our roles were reversed, I would not want this for the "other" side.
What I will say is that I do thank Bioware for even trying to do something more. I've never hated Bioware, but I do see that they dropped the ball on this one and did not remain true to their vision, created a new one that left a lot to be desired. I still feel left out because Shepard mattered to me. I didn't mind that Shepard's story would be over---I never stressed over that. I just think that in ending Shepard's story, Shepard deserved far more than what Shepard got. I don't think you do that to heroes in a story. I think you give them a shot at happiness because I think it's all we have in real life--we have a transitory shot at happiness. And if we've tried our best, worked very hard, we need to hope it can happen, not get left in a rubble pile as Torso Shepard did.

Exactly what I meant, I only find it hard to express myself right, as I'm not nativ english.
She deserves better, as some lines say, because only watching her (him, whatever) fighting and making sacrifices the whole three games through, makes me feel very, very exhausted. They made her a hero we haven't had in gaming a long time, a hero we came to care for and that is why I don't see, why they wouldn't want to put her in ME4 or whatever new ending, new game, new DLC - I don't need to see her, hear her, just knowing that she finally has come to peace, someone stating what she's currently doing, would have made me, as her observer and player, feel a lot better..
