Most certainly will not have changed. The Angry One wrote...
Detailed minutae. The truly important part for me, the silly crash and the insipid Adam and Eve start over in Eden ending appears to have not changed. If that hasn't changed then everything else is pointless.
If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. No one will be happier than me if I am.

The complaints are about the shot. You chose to show the shot to publicize the extended cut, which means it's something you wanted us to see.Chris Priestly wrote...
While I understand you are guarded about what the EC will be, I do suggest until you play it or experience it in the full before you talk about how bad it is. If, having doe so, it still does not meet your expectations or it does (because they are negative and you believe we do not fix the issue) THEN complain about it.
We're working with what we know. When we know more, we'll obviously be able to complain about it in more detail.
But for now, "fall back to the rendezvous point" is all we have, and it doesn't satisfy.
Admiral Hackett: "It's time for Phase B of our plan. All forces, withdraw from the Crucible and give the Reapers a clear shot. They need to be able to take it down before it can fire!"

I basically agree with this. If the shot was not meant to be discussed, then why release it? And any worthwhile discussion is going to have differing viewpoints on the topic at hand, or else there isn't much point.

Cool so in those orders from Hackett, Joker had time to beam em up (squad mates next to me) Or fly by by and pick them up and then take a ****** on my sheps dead corpse and take off. F minus writing can only stay an F minus if you don't just do the "its all a dream/indoc thing) but these aren't the best writers in the world obviously.
Damn you doosh ex and Matrix, damn you to hell.

I think BioWare continues to misunderstand and underestimate it's fanbase, and thought that this shot would make the majority happy by giving an explanation for Joker's flight.

We don't have any timeframe for how long it takes to reach it in control.
Also, the galaxy map cinematic is sped up and stylised.
…You assume.I don’t really even understand what you‘re arguing for or against here. The scene makes no sense. None. It is impossible to ‘make it work’.
No, but the point is it's completely impossible for the Crucible wave to have caught up with the Normandy if it was using ship FTL.
I disagree, it’s possible. We know different engines produce different FTL speeds, and therefore the wave only needs to have traveled EvenFTL. It doesn’t make sense, but it’s possible.
Also, take into account that the FTL travel actually consists of acceleration and then deceleration after the halfway point. So the Normandy won’t be traveling at full speed, giving an even larger theoretical possibility for something to overtake it.
So if you are being chased by something you'd slow down? From the look of the cutscene Joker is piling EVERY erg of energy into the engines to go faster to try to outrun whatever it is. Besides for the crucible wave to work it has to be FTL and FASTER than the Reapers cause they could outrun it in which case it would blow away the whole point of using it in the fi5rst place.

Joker: "Come sit on my lap, EDI, while we ride off into the sunset. We're free and clear! Engage!"

Going to be as bad as it was before I am afraid. Non fixable, I dont care who writes it. They said they arent changing it man, so its kind of shot either way unless there is a massive curveball.

So call me crazy but is it really that much of a stretch too assume/believe that the "rendezvous point," was a part of the plan from the very start of the mission. I mean logically they all think the crucible is going to be some gigantic blast that totally obliterates the reapers right? So if that's what they are assuming and believing who in their right mind is going to stand in front of the blast? I can see a few ships staying back and defending at the possibility of sacrificing themselves too make sure the crucible would fire. But 1.) Sheppard is on the crucible which is probably the safest place too be when it fires, and 2.) What good is being blown up by the crucible going to do Sheppard? You guys gotta keep in mind, they don't know what you know.
Because, again. It's going to take care of the Reapers in the entire galaxy.
Whatever it's going to do is going to be something that can't be outrun by definition. Hence, fleeing is pointless and dangerous.

Normally I'm with TAO on these kind of things, but it's a screenshot of a screenshot, so I'm willing to give it a chance. It could've been a regroup for another attack, or a distraction for Harbinger, etc.Chris Priestly wrote...

They had no clue what it do as well. It was established early in the game, but ALL OF A SUDDEN for the EC they know. Hackett said they didnt know what would happen twice I believe. LOL These writers services would not be neccessary if this did become a successful movie franchise. Hollywood would say. "Ummm..... no!"
A shoehorn is a nice image to use with this EC explanation, doesnt matter what it is. You cant explain teleporting squad mates, that is not possible. I mean the spacekid can I guess, but he makes little sense.
