A) They all starve or don't; we'll see what the writers wrote, won't we? Since I will only pick synthesis, I didn't care about the other endings.
Then your argument is invalid.
It always was.
Absurdity. I'm not even going to respond to this. It's utter nonsense. I can't believe there are people out there who even think like this.
I don't know. I made it up. Which was the point; it's all made up. Whatever reason gets popped out in the EC, if any, is then canon and debate is complete. If none, well the writer can have his intention but then the result isn't canon, it simply doesn't exist.
I can't believe there are people who invest this much into a work of fiction. Well I literally can, because there you are, but you shouldn't.
C) The entire ME universe is fiat from the creation of magic eezo to the mass effect to future human history to some socialist ethics that the Salarian spouts in Huerta Memorial to the nonsense reasons why giant Reapers wouldn't be at a massive disadvantage in a war where it is easy to accelerate objects to lightspeed. You can like it or not, it can be internally consistent or not, it can accurately reflect some state of affairs in the world or not, but this futile struggle against extant fiction is really strange IMO.
Declaring something to be so out of universe in spite of what happens in universe is author's fiat, and is completely wrong. Don't try and dump pseudo-philosophy on me.
Events in a story must logically flow from other events. There are rules and guidelines to do this. Lore by twitter is not one of them.
It isn't pseudo. I have a degree in it. Events in a fictional story don't have to do anything their author doesn't want. Your reaction to that is entirely up to you.
