This is going to cause the pro-enders to go "SEE!? Clarification! We all got what we wanted!"
To which most of the anti-enders will go "But the clarification itself doesn't make logical, canon, or narrative sense! And its still a stupid and disappointing ending!"
To which the pro-enders will counter "Well... nothing would have satisfied you to begin with! You just want to hate on Bioware! Let it go and go away!"
Then the anti-enders will list all the reasons from both a logical standpoint and a in universe canon standpoint why the ending still doesn't make sense to which the pro-enders will argue with things like "You just don't get it!" (Yet fail utterly to explain it in any logical sense or confuse personal headcanon as fact) or essentially say plot doesn't matter in the face of ART!
Still hoping against hope, but if I find the EC lacking, well... I'll be making a whole $15 back at gamestop for my $80 investment. Whoop - Dee - Freakin - Doo

That's neither here nor there. You can't write a story around technical limitations set down by the industry and the times. If they didn't make characters from ME1 relevant that would be a bigger crime than anything else.CuseGirl wrote...
Ah ah ah, totally different. There is no major financial or technological issue preventing you from enjoying all of the Star Wars films, they all exist on DVD/Blu-ray and possibly VHS at a reasonable price. I do not own an Xbox or Xbox 360 and my computer is not powerful enough to support a high graphics shooter. I have a PS3. So ME-2 squaddies mean a lot to me, because that's who I was introduced to.
A gaming PC isn't expensive these days, especialy not one that would be more than reasonable enough to play a series like Mass Effect designed for the consoles. If you can register and post about this game, then you're more than resourceful enough as a gamer to find a way to play this on a PC or borrow/buy a 360.
Care to elaborate what those 'nonsensical reasons' may be? It's that casual dismissive attitude that labels so many people as haters of Bioware.TransientNomad wrote...
The images I have seen so far confirm my worst fear. That Bioware will throw out some nonsenical reasons at the disaffected fanbase's complaints to try and explain away the stupidity of the ending.

Calm down, it's not even out yet. It's 1.9 gigs, that's a whole lotta clarification (lol). Just let the full DLC speak for itself instead of making it up before the release dateTransientNomad wrote...

Could it be possible that this image is for the Control or Synthesis endings? Considering EDI is there?
Or maybe we'll have this same scene in Destroy, and she'll be absent....
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for ... that this is one scenario where Shepard might be dead.
Which I'm PERFECTLY FINE with. As long as there are other options where Shepard lives. Then I'd certainly replay the game a few times to see how all of my choices shook out.
But if Shepard can't survive in any scenario, then the EC was a huge waste of time.
I hate to admit it but If the force kill shepard then ME is also dead to me if shepard can live and be with crew LI in the end then I'm back with the program and will be happy to buy any future DLC

So Shepard somehow survives in Destroy.....and is either.floating in space alone, never to be seen again.....or.....he's superman and can fall to Earth on an exploding super structure, the size of the asteroid that killed the Dinosaurs
it's 44 km long, the asteroid that you are taking about was about 10km long....... there are five arms to the citadel, just think about that for a sec. just to put that into terms we can get the bigest nuke ever made was a 50 megaton bomb, the astirod that killed the dinos was almost 100 tetratons of boom.

Yeah I went extra nerd there LOL
Also if Shep survies that means he crashed landed back on London which can clearly be seen from the breath scene. If they somehow fix it.....yeah I would have to replay all three cause my save files are gone. Have to rebuy 2 and 3 as well. Not thinking it will be neccessary.

Maybe harsh. But understand that we should not be in this situation to begin with. We should have gotten a sensible ending to begin with (It can be done, I've seen several Fan Endings that are superior AND doable to what we got), we should not have been mis-lead by both pre-gold and after gold developer qoutes, we should not have been insulted by media outlets that take advertising money from EA, we should not have been insulted and lied to by Bioware staff (like that guy who said the fanbase didn't "get the fact the entire game was the conclusion" or Merizan's non-sensical tweets, or Myzuka's "you just didn't understand the ending" spiel), or Bioware's plastering edicate rules as soon as you log in and enforcing a 24 hours cooling off period to curb PR damage.
If there ever was a time to be harsh on Bioware, now is the time. I didn't want it to come to this. I wanted a great conclusion to the series I invested $350 in. Most of all, I want to trust Bioware again. We will see.

Fan endings are mostly rubbish with little to no potential for variety or any interesting themes of note. They're basically obligatory sequences that most people who have seen enough movies can come up with. It's not challenging or particularly interesting to just pander to the audience and Bioware didn't choose to.TransientNomad wrote...

Yeah, a logical progression from the events and themes of the game is pandering. Just read what you type. Honestly.

You will only hear it if you Romanced Miranda in Both Mass Effect 2/Mass Effect 3. It's the final line of Dialogue you hear from Miranda.

Well apparently the devs/writers determined that the players only romanced Liara or the VS, so why make good on Shepard's promise to Miranda?ssltrain wrote...

During the hologram convo (I think only if you romanced Miranda), she says "Finish this and find me". When I popped ME-3 into my console, I had it in my mind that I was gonna kill the Reapers, take shots with Jacob and Garrus and then go have Post-Save-The-Galaxy Sex with Miranda. That was the plan. And they eluded to it all the way up to the end and then that white light elevator came and well....yea....
Why would they write that line of dialogue and not think the player would want to keep that promise?
