I like how they try to sell it not as a fix to a bug, but as them being nice to fans, and allowing even SP players get the best ending as if that was not what they said was possible all the time.

I'd like to see new EMS thresholds summary.

Ummm...

In a tweet from Merizan it says that these EMS changes will not be applied if you don't download the EC...

What about people that don't want to download it cause they like the ending? Why not in a patch later?

Is this some kind of ploy to get as many people as possible to download the EC?

If so...

It just might work...

tl;dr.

So how much exactly of them EMS points do we need for Shepard to breathe? I have my perfect playthrough ready, but I don't really want to replay the MP to regain the 50% lost.

Too much vague.
We'll have to see ourselves what this EC will bring.

Developing trillion coded lines games, but being unable of a direct and full answer = Troll

I keep my readiness rating at 100% every time, so I don't really care. My EMS should already be above 9000 or something. (ALL side missions done and scanned every cluster/star system + multiplayer + a lot of promoted characters.)

I am ready for the Extended Cut DLC.

(What I'd like to see is the names of my promoted N7 characters on the "grave" wall of the Normandy. Forget what was the name of it.)

The original experience of the game was meant to reward players who did extra work (multiplayer, importing a save, playing the iOS games, etc) with greater levels of success in the end, which is appropriate to a story about a war that needs every possible advantage in order to win.

Yeah that's what war is about! So maybe add some SP missions instead of forcing me to play multiplayer?

Keep in mind that the results of having a very low EMS rating can have distinct effects on the outcome of the game in teh same way having a high EMS can.

Does this mean we have new bad endings? or is it the same as currently having a low EMS?

What about people who have no f***ing Apple products to use the ios datapad?
They did not port it to Android, so they forced something again!

I'm not sure what's this all about. Multiplayer is fun to play, especially with friends. Heck, even with randoms it's fun most of the time. Just play 10 matches and you'll be fine. You'll get the hang of it, trust me. :)

No, I dont find it fun. I suck at it and I tried, tried hard - but still suck at it.
I dont want to have to embarass myself just to be able to finish a SINGLEplayer game.

If you can play the singleplayer on Normal difficulty, you can easily play Bronze in multiplayer, TBH. If you want you can add me and we'll play couple matches. It's fun playing with people who can talk rather with randoms where the match is silent the whole time.

I personally think that the Multiplayer could have been sacrificed for a better Singleplayer.

But I don't find repetitive horde gameplay fun, in any guise, ever. Which is why I and a lot of others here were glad to hear Mike Gamble say that it was completely optional and just 'another way to play'. To buy the game and learn that everyone in BioWare is 'veracity challenged' was rude shock.

Well in singleplayer I can pause to choose the attack I want plus I'm pretty bad there as well, I rather enjoy the roleplaying part of ME all along. In MP it gets far to hectic for me, I feel something like panic there.

Hm I will start a completely new game next tuesday to ..enjoy all of it again plus the "better" ending, so I will have to do some MP I guess. Wouldn't hurt to add you I guess, but I dont know how.

So spend the money you used to pay the multiplayer team on more people for the singleplayer team.

Done :)

Still think that MP was just a way to draw more "newbies" to ME.. They put a lot more effort in gaining new (younger?) fans than into keeping their "old", loyal fans happy.

No need for a MP in ME at all - though a lot of people seem to like it.

Yeah, well, it's not long ago for me when I started with the ME series. I started with ME round about when ME3 got released. Bought ME incl. DLCs, finished it, bought ME2 with its DLCs, imported and finished it, then bought ME3 with its DLC(s), imported and finished it. Now I am waiting for the EC. And heck, I like the MP, fun to play. I don't want to lie, but my EMS is minimum somewhat around 8000-9000. 100% rating, all side missions + scanned every bit of the galaxy map + a ton promoted characters. (OK, maybe not a ton, but at least 15. :))

So Bioware deliberately ruined the EMS system at the first place? Made impossible to achieve 4000/5000 EMS without MP / iOS?

I think the collosal embuggerence here is that Bioware straight up promised multiple times that we could get access to all the single player content without playing multiplayer.

So whether or not the MP is fun isn't really the point,  its not an option for a lot of people, some people don't have reliable internet, some people don't have xbox live accounts and a lot of people plain don't like multiplayer.

Heck until recently I had to drag my xbox to another room to connect it to live and download DLC.

So now, after months and months of Mr Priestly and Mr Adams insisting:

There is no issue with the EMS values = LOCKDOWN
NO WE ARE NOT LYING = LOCKDOWN
We are investigating the issue = LOCKDOWN
This is a tech issue = LOCKDOWN
This is a general discussion issue = Lockdown
This is a story issue = THREAD MOVE

Now finally we have

moving to a post-launch period and have additional content for the
endings, we wanted to make it easier for all players to experience even
the best-cast endings.

If Bioware had been honest from the start that this was the original experience I wouldn't have touched it with a barge pole, instead they decided to lie.

*Edit*

Enough with the vague crap Chris, either the "Bug" is fixed or not, or if it wasn't a bug are you going to be apologising to the customers for misleading them over the last few months?

Heaven forbid i want a SP story related to SP. All these gimmicks with apps and crap wasn't necassary in the final game of a trilogy, it should have been introduced straight away of some sorts, and priestly saying its appropriate and an advantage is ridiculous as its forced and unwanted. But then most things in ME3 feel forced and unwanted
