But you could have just put all this in the game prelaunch and we would not have had to have the ****storm from fans that has been going on for months now.
But still looking forward to the new SP dlc that you will be working on now.

Thank you Bioware, you have regained your title as my favorite game developer. The ending explained a lot more. For my ending, Shepard has the chance of getting back together with his friends, and now the galaxy does have an optimistic future. Thank you for putting in the time, money and effort on rectifying the ending, and know that I for one will certainly be following your next games with earnest.
I can only assume you chose the destroy option.
As did I...with great reluctance....
EDI....Legion....Forgive me...
I just couldn't bring myself to choose synthesis or control....And I really feel Bioware dropped the ball with the refusal choice. It was the first one I picked since I am....or was....a firm believer in the Indoctrination Theory....If you had put that in Bioware...You would have a golden hit I would've played again and again. But now....
I don't think I have the heart to play the Mass Effect games ever again if this is to be the final end...

I still had trust. I had faith in you. I claimed everywhere: They'll make it better this time!
I was wrong. I can't believe thats what it took you 4 months to create. Thats what you made of this enourmus chance. But you broke my heart again. You just did it again
The EC became what I feared MOST. Although it had explanations and filled plotholes - It killed room for interpretation. Especially the "Epilouge"
So I ask you: Why did you tell us: "Yes, Yes, Shepard will be able to reunite with his crew" in first place. And then end as it was with just that breath? Where the hell is my "Reunion"?
And seeing Tali adding that plate to the memorial wall. I nearly punched into the fu**ing monitor for that insult that you call "Epilouge". Sorry for my reaction but Im nearly as emotional as I was on my first playthrough. This is NOT acceptable.
Theres already work on an editor for your game. You had your chance. It won't take long til there will be an ending worth the trilogy. Count on it.
I need a drink now. Or ten.

If you did things correctly you LI would not have put the nameplate on the wall. They would have just held it in there handsDarman wrote...

Yes, I think Tali just held it in her hands. But I don't see the difference.

Well. I've seen the "new" extended ending. It wasn't worth the wait. The best "extended" ending are the ones we fashion ourselves with our imagination. Complexity if the "improvements" and "extensions" is appalling. Frankly, there is no point of playing SP more than once and even that one time is debatable. Want something "dark", "not overly optimistic", "real", something that will grab you by the throat and won't let go till you are done, play Planescape Torment. I expected something on similar level. What i got makes me think that the people who were champions of gamemaking are gone. The ones who are left are more like accountants and hype-jockeys.
This is the perfect wording of how disappointing these endings are. I'm looking forward to Halo 4 this fall. Bungie hasn't lost sight of there goal of giving fans their fill of the Master Chief. So I will be returning to the game that got me interested in gaming in the first place and gives you worthwhile endings.

I shot Starchild first, just before jumping in the beam as a "F YOU STARCHILD!!" Then of course.... *it happened*
Actually jumped into the beam second time, and faith has been restored

If you were satisfied by the endings as they stood. Why would you waste hard drive space on the EC to experience the same ending? That's just bloody brilliant.Hexfield wrote...
I am satisfied with the ending and i am happy thats it not all rainbows and unicorns... heroes need to die to become legends, thats just the way it is...after seeing this i think it was a good choice not to give in to some fanmade theories some fans almost obsessed about

The last mission sucked, and still no sign of what happened to the Rachni.
Goddamit, and to think this was going to settle my disputes with the game.
Have fun getting sucked dry by EA

Just got over 3100 in EMS, but can anyone confirm now if the Squadmembers die on Earth or not when your EMS is right over 3100? It would be nice to bring Liara until the end, but I don't really want to see her die. :innocent: And I'm far too lazy to get more EMS right now.AsteroidBlues wrote...

I'm not sure where but I remember reading that if your EMS is too low your squadmates that you take to Earth get killed. But with the EC fix on EMS I'm confident you'll be safe with over 3100.

They don't, there is a new scene added during the run to the beam... and to emphasise the point, if you have a LI squadmate, bring them along....
I just did it with my FemShep and Garrus with 3617 EMS... I'll admit it, I cried, it was beautiful and answered one of the niggly things I had with the original ending.
As for squadmates dying, that only happens if it is REAL low, though I don't know what the max score for that would be now that they've drastically (imho) altered what is required for the 'breathing' scene.

Thanks for the answer! Since Liara has been my LI throughout the trilogy I will totally bring her with me.

Quick note though, I still didn't get the breathing scene even though my EMS was over 3100 :S Is there any extra scenes to go along with the breathing scene that I missed out on too (in the EC that is, I saw it on my original playthrough)? I didn't bring Liara with me to Earth this time but now knowing there is an added conversation, I'm most definitely going to replay and do so soon.
So thank you BioWare. I may not be happy with how a lot of ME3's release was handled, or the months afterwards, but the EC does at least make me truly appreciate ME3.

dissapointed that the refusal option leads only to defeat, would of been a hell of a lot better if there was a chance to kill all the reapers with military might ATM there is no need for me to promote characters or do extra work to gain extra miltary assets as it doesnt make a diffrence
Yeah. I thought the whole point of gathering forces was to take the Reapers head on. Apparently they're just a distraction for the stupid crucible. <_< I know damn well that with enough EMS, you should be able to reject the starchild's plan and still defeat the Reapers. I feel trolled. Again.

Bungie? Halo 4 is being developed by 343 Industries...
