Well, that was vague and explained nothing.
Oh no, it did reaffirm my belief that Bioware still treat their customers with contempt
So you admitt that "You can reach the highest levels of success in the single player experience alone, (...)"* and constantly repeating this was a misinformation on purpose (the word lie would also work here)?Chris Priestly wrote...
The original experience of the game was meant to reward players who did extra work (multiplayer, importing a save, playing the iOS games, etc) with greater levels of success in the end

I guess I'm just an old-timer, a gamer who needs to be put out to pasture because he doesn't get that gaming has passed him by. Gaming today is truly about MP and social networking, not us lonely guys who still play games for the characters and the story. "I vant to be alone."

A comprehensive single player play through... Well, that's what I did on the first (and only) playthrough I did of ME3. You know, all those eavesdropping fetch quests with no actual missions on them?

I don't play MP. I shouldn't have to play MP to get the "best ending", considering that the Mass Effect Trilogy is and
has always been a SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN!
As a long time Mass Effect fan, with multiple playthroughs of ME1 and 2 on my belt, I would like to express my refusal of your rethorics. Connecting single player campaign outcome with multiplayer is wrong, ethically wrong, and a violation of the previous foundations established by the series. Let me say that once more: it is WRONG, and your (BioWare's) absence of acknowledgement of that fact is thoroughly disappointing.

Play Bethesda games. They still get it. I've been having fun with a replay of Fallout: New Vegas. Granted, it lacks the deeper relationships with your team that you used to get from BioWare, but at least you can make head canon (Boone is so much happier now with my female courier and his heart has healed). And if you feel a yearning for a good game that can remind you of what BioWare used to be, play DA:O or KOTOR, both of which were awesome games. I hope, one day, to be able to go back and play ME1 and ME2 and pretend ME3 never existed, especially now that we know they haven't changed a damned thing with the ECDLC.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have to take a closer look at those games, now.

Mmm... Can we gib the save files to increase EMS ? I'm not doing multiplayer or spending hours in a game that killed my LI just to see a happy ending.
You can increase war asset values in Gibbed. I just set the Normandy to 4000 and call it good.
(Edit: if you wanted to ‘play fair’, you could calculate the actual difference you’re losing because of GR and adding that instead, but I really just don’t care. I got there.)

If only bioware had some kind of forum they could anounce these things on......

So Mr Priestly is active on the forums as of 11 minutes ago, how about an answer in here then?

So long as Gibbed is still around, never a need to worry about EMS.

His answer will be to lock down this thread, too, mark my words.
