If you start both A Lord's Trust: The First Task and A Prince's Favor: The First Task, complete the Proving without finishing A Prince's Favor: The First Task, then Persuade Vartag that you want to spy on Lord Harrowmont for him and then Persuade Dulin that you want to spy on the Prince, both quests become impossible since both Vartag and Dulin want you to find out what the other wants you to do next.

OK guys, I dont have any previous save files that would let me go back to where this was...so am i stuck for good or is
Bioware releasing a patch to fix this?

Please help. can i do some editing of the save files to let me complete the quest safely?

The problem I'm having is that I've crowned Harromount, but A Prince's Favor is still an active quest. Even after killing Vartag in the palace.

I have killed that criminal woman but I can't seem to find the Prince, he's in a debate thing and the guy guarding the door is of no use to me even with a plot point above his head..

That is a bug. I had the same problem - the quest stayed active for most of the rest of the game.

Anyone know where I can find the Prince Bhelan to tell him that woman is dead? Or is my game bugged?

I don't know how much of either quest you've done. Dulin is in the Tavern and Vartag is in the Assembly after you talk to them. If they won't talk to you any further then you might want to try doing the first quests. The Proving Grounds for Harromont and giving the forged documents for Bhelen.

If you've done those, try going into Dust Town. There is a 'house' that has some people to fight. If they're there then you can jump start the 'Jarvia' quest.

If you can't do any of those, then you just might be totally stuck. I think there is a way to edit the save game using the tool set, but I don't know how to do it.

I talked to the steward, and he just says: ” the assembly is still debating”
then appears 3 anwsers to choose:
- How the assembly is going…
- Which is the assembly menbers are…
- Tell me when the stop bickering…(i choose this one to terminate the conversation)
And then he says: Only Bhelen or Harrawmont can solve this…
And nothing more.
So what i do, nothing happens..

I am in the same boat, I am stuck as I fought for Harrowmont but told the rest the papers where fake. Now I cannot advance at all.

'If you complete the quests "A Prince's Favor: The First Task" and "A Lord's Trust: The First Task" then tell Vartag that you only completed Harrowmont's quest to spy for Bhelen and then go to Dulin and tell him you want to spy on Bhelen the game essentially makes it impossible to finish. Vartag won't talk to you unless you talk to Harrowmont first and Dulin won't talk to you unless you first speak with Bhelen. Because you can't speak with Harrowmont or Bhelen without going through Dulin or Vargtag you cannot complete the "Paragon of her Kind" quest. Unless there is some way around this that I can't think of I'm pretty sure you have to restart the game."

Any idea's here folks or am I up the creek without a paddle?

Once you enter the assembly, you don't go in again until you're ready to choose a king.
Beyond that, I'm not sure what to tell you, sorry :(

I've nothing, sorry :(
I've never told them that I was only pretending to help the other side until after I spoke with Bhelen. Have yet to try it the other way.

Not very helpful I know. But I'm thinking you need to return to a previous save if at all possible.

Thanks all for the responses, I did a little digging via "goggle" and it turns out this is a fairly common issue. The only work around that is currently out there is to run a command line Runscript. Not being savvy in that sorta thing with computers or how much of a cheat this is I was reluctant. After much sole searching and fustration due to all my saves being within the "issue" I went for it. It took me about 30minutes to get it straight but in the end it worked. I am not going to link the sites directly from here as I am not sure how Bioware feels about using the command lines. What I will do is put a few steps that I took to help out.
1) google the issue and bring up at least three different sites that explain how to do it, each site I found just explains it in different ways that I found helpful (also there are several runscript commands to use)
2) use the ~ tilda key for the key to activate (when you get to that step)
3) ensure you use the space after the " " marks when changing and saving the short cut step.
4) when activated you will not see any change till after you start typing then a bunch of letters appaer at the top of the screen, this is a good sign that all is working.
5) just follow the steps as per the sites you find and if I can do it you can to. (really only do this if you are in a fix, its not hard really but to me still feels kinda like a cheat which I do not recommend.
So from here out I would save often (as I was doing) but have save point fall backs that are spotted say out side of major locations. If anyone has any issues here just post here and then I will see about getting the links I used as references. Good Luck.

Can you be more specific? When you say you "google the issue" what exactly do you type into google to find these command line work arounds? Also, I doubt Bioware have a right to be fussed about you linking command line workarounds for their glitches. I don't see them offering any useful solutions so far.

Heads up here-

You are stuck. There is no way around this. I did this on my first time through and had to restart. You need to start a new playthrough, just bite the bullet and do it. On your next run, I advise talking to Dulin or Vartag, but never both. Safest way to do it. (I advise vartag, the proving sucks.)

Sorry I didnt post a reply earlier as I was out. Here is what I just "googled" try this or any variant of it should produce results but you may need to hunt and peck to find.

"dragon age stuck in orzammar a paragon of her kind"

Here are a few links that the above search resulted to help you along. They are in fact the three I used to get me past this issue. I was so relieved that it worked abd trust me it really is not as hard just take your time, read the instructions over a few time and you shouldn't have any issues.

Glad to have been of assistance. Hope you are enjoying the game as much as I did, looking forward to the expansion.
