Then BioWare will have made it clear that they believe true love concludes after sex.  Three games, three sex scenes.  Done.  I like to think my Shepard's relationship with Liara means more than a quick romp under the sheets and a little pillow talk.  Love isn't that shallow, and neither is Shepard (again, I like to think).  Prove this, BioWare, by making these romances mean something spectacular outside of the bedroom.

I'm not asking for a happy ending, I'm just imploring you to allow Shepard's most important relationship to be celebrated regardless of his/her happy or tragic end.

NEW

Well, the EC is out.  Was it enough for you?

NOTE: Post-EC comments begin on page 6.

The romances definitely need to be acknowledged.

I'm just cautious on how they handle the ME2 romances. Miranda deserves better than a vague fade-to-black, followed by nothing.

Amen. I'm sorry, but after all that Shepard and Tali have gone through together, I think they deserve to view their relationship as more then just some sexual act. Sex is fine and good, but by ME3, I think the relationship should mean more then that.

He had a terminal disease with no cure.

Terminal. Disease.

Which justifies them admitting that they completely forgot he was a romance option how?
Also, they kept dropping hints of a cure all throughout ME2, and implied he wasn't interested because he became a fatalist... which he stops being if he's romanced. So yeah.

YOU MEAN HE WASN'T GOING TO GET BETTER =OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If any of you are using a sarcasm guage, I probably just shattered it.  Seriously guys, Thane was dying.

Maybe they had to cut out the resolution sequences for the romances so they could come in under the 2GB limit.

Would be epic. "We wanted to, but... well, we ran out of space. Sorry!"

The EC will give all the LIs the Jacob treatment; calling it now.

Thane went out like a grade A badass and with some measure of peace. Frankly, anyone who romanced him *knew* he was dying.

A better example would be the Jacob romance.

When a disease is Terminal and in the stages that he was in, a cure won't do much.

You aren't just magically "cured".

One does not simply get over something.

Again. They said they forgot. The forgot. How do you forget? Do they not keep notes around? Did they forget the very reason for his existance (as a female romance option)?

Also, his death scene is no different romanced than not. So yes, it is incredibly shabby.
Yes, so is Jacob, but nobody cares about Jacob.

Pretty much this, though I would have prefered a better enemy to have dispatched Thane than the Cereal eater and vase urinated. Something a bit more badass and a bit less stupid.
