Oh, right!

Speculation
Asari for everyone!

But not the interesting one, not Samara who was more Shepard's equal, not the Asari that doesn't have to suck on Shepard's toes...

Where did the suck on his toes thing come from

Lol.

I was actually ok with Samara not being with Shepard. Reminder that its the other person's decision on a relationship too. Interesting, though, that she's the only Asari that might die around the same time as Shep.

I would have been fine with it, only they never fully addressed
the issue. A dangling thread from Me2 was never resolved, just ignored.

They're going to make it canon that Liara has your blue babies. That's the real reason they jammed that 'gift' scene in on Earth. She'll be the one to eulogize dead shepard. I'm dead serious.

If you actually are dead serious, I'm starting to see where conspiracy theories come from.

'Dead serious' doesn't make my statement more than speculation my friend ;)

I don't think they're going to add any depth to what's already there, at least for the LI department. The EC itself, is about 10-15 minutes according to the podcast, so there will be what, a holding hand scene walking into the sunset, I doubt it.

I agree, there won't be any new interactions durign the game the EC is specifically geared to explaining the ending and show how Shepards choices change the galaxy.

It will be a text thing, something like "During the battle for Earth Jack, a biotic teacher from Grissom Academy and Miranda Lawson, a former Cerberus agent died from the infinite hordes of reaper forces."

But they resolved their differences and had a touching "sisters" moment before the end.

Closure!

They said the intent of th EC was to fill plot holes and offer players more closure.  The romance facet of the game, I think, is a huge part of the latter, so there should be a chance.  During the interview the developers themselves mentioned they were excited to do the EC because it also gave the creators of Mass Effect an opportunity to give the characters a proper farewell.  Properly closing the LI part of Shephard's story would be an ideal step in that direction.

Crossing fingers.

Remember what Thane got. They just don't care.

we knew he was dying and yet people romanced him they should of expected a half hearted fate for the green little frog like assassin, same can be said for Jaocb (I think that was his name could be wrong) his romance arc was cut short because not many people could stand him.

honestly, I don't think we'll have to worry about the romances from the EC ( i could be wrong ) but the EC is 1.9G of downloadable content. It looks like they're working hard on the "variables" as with I'm sure the various LI of the player

I don't know why people are impressed by this 2 gigs number.  It's 2 gigs because they were limited by the 360 marketplace upload limit.  It's not 2 gigs because they did everything they wanted to, and it just happened to be 2 gigs.

Well, they cut split up the DLC in two portions ... so it's not that much of an issue.

I think the 1,9 GB are justified:
- additional BIK videos
- more lines of dialogue
- Multiplayer portion included
- maybe some issues fixed (like Gabby/Kenneth/Ashley broken dialogues)
- several big bug fixes like random crashes etc
- ...

Let's say I consider the EC not just as a DLC dealing with the endings but also fixing some bugs in the game. In such case, the size is justified.

I think you misunderstand.  I'm not saying the 2 gigs is too much.  I'm saying it's 2 gigs because they were limited by the 360.

Oh I got you, Premier *g*

Just told you BW could release a 6 GB DLC - by splitting it into three 2 GB parts.

There are also hosting costs related to uploading DLC to digital marketplaces like the 360's or the PS3's, so, in order to minimize costs, I don't think they would do that.  They'd keep content as minimal as possible.

if romances arent included, then RIP bioware
in ME3 they sacrificed 95% of the features and RPG aspects that made the series so great, if they then continue to ignore romances in a DLC after all the attention people brought to the lack of closure on the issue then that will mean bioware has stopped even trying to make RPGs and just dumbs down their games to try and attract fans of other genres

For me, personally, a lot is riding on Shepard reuniting with Ashley (or at the very least, concluding their romance in a bittersweet manner). If I'm at least given that, a lot is going to be forgiven. An awful lot.

Same boat with Thane.

If they would give us the OPTION of saving him, I could get past many of the plot holes that I doubt they will address.

It's not Thane's death that's off, precisely. It's two conversations, neither of which differ much from unromanced and one of which is his inevitable deathbed, no achievement, and no aftermath. No one mentions him. He's apperantly Shepard's imaginary friend/boyfriend. At least Kai Leng saw him. Probably.

I'm not holding out much hope for the EC fulfilling what people what to see, but you're welcome to prove me wrong Bioware, so we'll see in a just a few short days.
