“You Can Never Completely Satisfy Everyone.”

(Ok... :sick:watching that made me throw up.)
So instead you satisfied yourselves, twice (nice). When did ME become only about what you want at everyone else's expense? We used to be Shep, now you are? Why would we want (or pay for) that?

Then suddenly afterwards, it's all about them. What they want. Their "art", and why we're too stupid to appreciate it.
It's really disturbing to see such a blatant shift, even for a cynic like me.

Well to be honest it is their story. They set up the road for us and we merely choose how to go down such road. If they want the end of the road to be such, then let it be. Honestly I have no problem with this.
So the players have no say? What about the rest of the writers then, who wrote characters and scenarios that have nothing to do with this idiotic ending and it's revolting premise?
None of that counts? No it's only Walters and Hudson. Walters, who didn't even create the world he now calls himself lead writer for.

But then they say things like "it's the fans' story as much as ours." and other build. Then this argument flies out the window.Zenor wrote...

Well we did have a say. I was one of the people who wanted exactly what the extended cut seems to be promising. Showing what the final choice did, what our choices throught the series did, and maybe close some of them plotholes. We had our say of what the problems were. I personally am OK with the writers still doing it the way the want to if they fix up things that fans talked about. The Angry One wrote...

Hurry, let's whine about people whining about something I disagree with. That always fixes everything!

Personally I don't like it when "my friend" grabs the steering wheel and yanks it sending us off a cliff. Why would I pay him for it? Was he really "my friend"? Would I ever trust him again?

You did not have a say. Your goals and BioWare's coincidentally aligned.
What of the rest of us? Hm?

The only issue I had was how they described the EC to be something they wanted to do, which in that case I'm not sure why it wasn't done in the game at release.
But whatever, I've reached the point where I do not care for ME anymore. So, I'll DL this, play it, and if I enjoy it I'll get back into the series. If not, oh well.

Were we ever in control of it in the first place? The game itself had a path we went on while we decided somewhat of where to go first or what we did. While yes, many did not like the final destination they showed us. Hopefully this time around they get it right.yukon fire wrote...

SO yeah, you don't have to pay bioware ver again or trust them again. I personally see no problem with them doing what they want to do as long as they take maybe some of the complaints to heart and try to fix them.

There's nothing blind about deductions made from evidence presented through screenshots and release information. The realists are putting the pieces together, the optimists are putting their fingers in their ears and going 'LA LA LA LA LA'.KotorEffect3 wrote...

So its a second chance to do what they want? They got what they wanted the first time, why would they need to keep us hanging just to get what they wanted (got) all along.

Pessimism > Optimism.
Pessimists are either always right, or pleasantly surprised.

Well let's see.
Horrible ending. Been established.
We get to see actual stuff from the upcoming EC. Upcoming stuff seems to just re-enforce horrible ending. Let's play connect the dots eh? However, if it actually is good, then huzzah! They actually fixed things! Until that point, I'm not going to pretend BioWare won't shove more BS onto us. Fool us once...

Those screenshots hardly show anything. If anything it shows more about the devs office space than it does the EC.

Well for the rest...
Say out loud your complaints about the ending, which people have done for months.
See what Bioware does with such and such ending. Look to see if any of your complaints have been fixed or not.
If it is not up to your standards abandon Bioware or just abandon ME series.
If you expected a drastic ending change or IT, just give the ending one chance and do the things listed above.
That's all I can say really.

Pessimists are a pain in the ass and I hate being around them. Never go to a movie with a pessimist.
