I didn't think they would they will for $15.99 a little later

Tali already had 3-part mission dedicated to her and her people.  I doubt she's going to get her own DLC.

But hey...make yourself heard and ask for it - Bioware might just listen.

I may be seeing things but I almost believe you can see an exposed quarian nose.

I think the Quarian's face is kept in obscured profile intentionally, even if we do get to see a glimpse of a nose.  I doubt it, though - if they were willing to do a 3D model for a generic Quarian, they would have done one for Tali.

Pretty much.  That picture is about as close as we're likely to get to seeing a rendering of any Quarian.

Is it just me, or have they been in love with using the multiplayer models for everything lately?

Sort of, but the MP model is just carried over from SP

Ahh, I wouldn't remember, I only played through the game once, from a fresh ME3 start, no side quests and I never went past getting to london.

Other than the colour of the suit All Quarian females share the same model. and all male Quarians share a model.

Also Showing Tali's face is probably one of the easiest things (Relatively) that Bioware could have done to appease a large section of the fan base and anger few.

That's why it is rather disappointing.  Even if that picture they shopped was really what they thought Tali looked like, would an actual in-game model have been such a huge ordeal?  At the very least, it would be one thing they could cross off the list of complaints.

I don't care about Tali and I still find it jaw droppingly asinine that they decided to Photoshop a picture they got from Google for Tali's face. Honestly, not showing what space rats, er, Quarians looked like under their masks would have been the better choice than Photoshopping a public domain photograph. Hell, paying some random homeless woman to use her picture and Photoshopping it would have been a better choice. I don't mean Tali should have looked like a homeless woman (but then again, she has been stuck in that suit her entire life), it just would have seemed like the developers put some actual effort into considering what space rats, er, Quarians looked like.

And, they had a really great set up for doing so.

You know that horrible thing that happens in the last seconds of the game should you romance anyone besides Kaidan or Ashley where you see Liara instead of your LI...Unless your LI was Liara of course.

They could have had THAT show her face. The last seconds of Shep's life are spent thinking of Tali's face. Could have been great...

Tali? Wasn't she the alien that took a rocket to the face back in ME2?

I'm not surprised, and honestly, that's not a concern with this DLC. The ending NEEDS to be fixed. Tali's face, while disappointing in execution, is not game breaking like the endings.

Still boggles my mind at how little effort I imagine it would take.

But yet they took the time to model and voice Chobot in order to put a walking IGN advertisement in the game.

Disgusting.

Ugh. Don't mention 'it'. She can't even read her lines properly. I can read those lines better than her. True, I've had some experience in acting and ete, but still. I, a nobody, can do a better VA job there.

Honestly, I thought they just shouldn't show us at all, mostly because it would have sparked complaints.  If she was pretty, people would have said Bioware was pandering.  If she was ugly, people would have complained about that too.  However, I didn't think I'd prefer that they keep her a mystery because they were going to use photoshop.

It was their intention to leave Tali's face a mystery from the start.

"Yes, Were you shoved in a microwave as a child? Your face looks like melted tomatos." Shepard said with not a hint of emotion on his face, but extreme snark in his voice.

But it's not a mystery any more.  They showed it to us - just via a poorly-concieved and shoddy reveal.  If you're going to make a decision on the matter (and they did), why not go all the way?  It would have been awesome from a dramatic/narrative standpoint, especially during the scene on Rannoch.

And again, not a talimancer here - just a fan of decent storytelling.

Great news!

Does this mean we can forget about seeing Jack and Miranda in the EC too?

Even better!

It wouldn't have even been hard - her face has no structural differences from a human.  It's just downright laziness.
Basically they can make thousands of different Asari but not even one quarian.

I can see exactly what they wanted to do. The reveal is sentimental. But, Using a real person's photo with a shoddy at best Photoshop job is what killed it; the exicution of it.

They tried using Liara and Samara as examples of how this has worked before, but the difference there is Samara and Liara are rendered in the game engine and the only similarity is really the facial structure, everything else is different because they're Asari.

Given what we know about how they envisioned quarians to look, they could have literally taken a human mesh and just put new textures over it...maybe with a few modeling tweaks.  Would not have been hard considering they already put 2 months of work into this.

This....

And if I were a Talimancer I would've preferred No Google stock photo. My problem wouldn't be that they didn't show her face in game....it would be that the stock photo was ever included

If there was no stock photo, It wouldn't matter if they rendered her face in-game....she could be whoever you wanted....instead you have that half-assed photo burned into.your retina....

Ultimately, yes that is the real problem.  We have plenty of examples of characters being modeled after real people, and that could have worked here, but instead we got photoshop.

I'm not a huge tali fan, but the fact that they took the time to pander to IGN(who in a complete coincidence gave the game a great review and initially was very vehement in attacking those who disliked the ending) but couldn't be bothered to do more than a half assed photoshop on a stock photo off google for an established and beloved character is just ridiculous.
