Do people want to buy collectible figurines of the godchild too?
Should Bioware actually be selling equipment for masochists?
Oh wait, they have been, for several titles now.

I don't care about Tali and I still find it jaw droppingly asinine that they decided to Photoshop a picture they got from Google for Tali's face. Honestly, not showing what space rats, er, Quarians looked like under their masks would have been the better choice than Photoshopping a public domain photograph. Hell, paying some random homeless woman to use her picture and Photoshopping it would have been a better choice. I don't mean Tali should have looked like a homeless woman (but then again, she has been stuck in that suit her entire life), it just would have seemed like the developers put some actual effort into considering what space rats, er, Quarians looked like.
OH but that would be like explaning the Mysterious Reapers' motives and ideal-..................... Oh wait..... nevermind ....*Star-Child*
Tali's face is really just a result of the heart of all of ME3's problems. The development team just didn't really care and wanted to get it out of the way so they could go to work on something new. The ending was just slapped in becuase they wrote themselves into a spot where they had no idea how to finish, so they decided to co-opt Deus Ex's ending. Outside of a few points (mainly Mordin's death scene), the entire game had the feeling of being slapped together to just get it over with.
I'm betting the time wasted on the EC DLC has the dev team overjoyed at the prospect of the 'We have DLC planned for an entire year!' DLC plan being reduced to one more after the EC DLC (assuming the EC DLC doesn't fix the actual problems with the ending, in favor of 'clarification' (and something about closure).

It's almost as if Bioware is trying to make everyone angry.
Wasn't the initial poll like 50/50, so nomatter what they chose, they would be angering half the Tali fans?
I'd be happy with an improoved photograph, but only because their current attempt failed. I don't think we needed to see her face at all. Although, if you made peace between the Geth and the Quarians, it would make sense to show them without their suits in a "5 years later" type epilogue cutscene.

This is a big disappointment, though I hadn't really expected it either. It's the kind of feeling as like when a relative has cancer and he ends up dying, as expected. Miracles just don't happen.
Wait, what?
Tali's face =/= relative dying from cancer. (just a tad extreme there)
Why?
Because one of these I can headcanon into however I want it.
HEADCANON BABY.

It's not really viable for BW, I suppose. I also really didn't expect it. What they are doing now is already above and beyond what most publisher would do.

Don't worry. They're listening.

I said the kind of feeling in that you expect it but you still aren't happy when it happens - not the magnitude of it. Why is it that there has always to be some kid out there wanting to take the moral highground about anything anyone else says?
This community is already worse than World of Warcraft's. And that has merit.

Woah now. All I was trying to get across is the feeling is not as serious. But I'm not one for arguments, they're straining to everyone when all we want is to wait for EC. It doesn't help anyone atm.

Yes, they come on BSN to listen to us, that's why people wont get the ending they want.

It wouldn't really that up that much space to add a single mesh and a texture. Bet it could be done by a pro in less than 10 hours to get a polished look.
But yeah I am not surprised, and I see this as more a sign that the EC will be fail. The things that matter get brushed over, like anything Miranda or Jack, for the things they think matter. Apparently it is sacrifice... Even though that never has been the focus in the previous games...Last I checked it was more about persevering through impossible odds and diversity brings strength.
Well lets hope they prove me wrong...

I'm sure they could have given some more skilled fans access to the tools and they'd have done it for free with no more recognition than some credit given to them for their work.

I'm not surprised, and honestly, that's not a concern with this DLC. The ending NEEDS to be fixed. Tali's face, while disappointing in execution, is not game breaking like the endings.
Still boggles my mind at how little effort I imagine it would take.
Indeed, indeed. They could have just taken the face they poorly photoshopped and modeled it, right?
Not surprised, but still disappointed. Unless I'm mistaken, the two biggest disappointments of ME3 were the endings and Tali's face, right? As others have pointed out, this would have been a great opportunity to knock two birds out with one stone
