Not surprised. When Tali removed her face mask, it was an intimate moment with Shepard. A better picture would be nice but I would not expect Tali to run around with an unsealed environmental suit just because the ending is being "clarified".

Personally, I'm glad they didn't show her face. Even that photo was already too much (and would have been too much even if they had put more effort into it).

The Quarians' charm and mystique pretty much depends on us NOT knowing what they look like, and letting each of us fill in the gaps with out imagination.
Revealing their faces is a bit like revealing the ghost in a horror film: no matter how good the cgi or the masks, they can NEVER live up to what our imagination can conjure up.

This hurts me. This would have been a huge olive branch to fans to show that perhaps they actually understood some of the complaints. The face is there, it's established... just do it properly instead of a cheap and technically wrong (that hand, erk) Photoshop of a stock photo.

Would be *highly* amusing if we got to see other quarian faces fully modeled though (probably only in Synthesis.) I would laugh. Then flip a table. Then, when I'm ready, laugh again.

She has been with many players from the start of ME1 and many have romanced her from ME2 to 3, it was something worth hoping for.

A better version of the picture of Tali's face would be nice, but I honestly don't think they can just jam it into the ending. Maybe if the EC modified the romance scene? I thought it was just going to be the final mission that was changed though.

I'm more worried that Liara will show up in a flashback instead of Tali. That pissed me off more than the stock photo, more than anything really. It totally destroyed any relevance of the ending to my version of Commander Shepar'ds decisions. I'm more worried that the Catalyst still won't explain his logic to Shepard in the light of his accomplishments on Rannoch, that Synthesis won't be explained, that Destroy will be left ambiguous, that Joker's reasoning for leaving Shepard won't make sense, etc etc etc. The reveal of Tali's face could have been executed much better, but it's not really a problem with the ending.

If you made peace between the Geth and Quarians, there was talk of the Quarians not needing their suits in 2 years due to Geth assistance. The EC is suposed to show how our choices effected the galaxy. It would not be a major stretch to have a cutscene showing Quarians running around on Rannoch, if you decided to save them.

Not a new face, just a rendered one during the face reveal on Rannoch.  I think people had high hopes for it because it seemed like such an easy way for bioware to make major inroads with the community.  Even if the EC failed, they could at least say that they delivered some fan-service.

And fan complaints about the game aren't just about the ending.  The extended cut could have easily added in this minor detail, as well as possibly a few others.

Yes.  I expected that the company that brought me Shadows of Amn, KOTOR, DA:O, ME1, and ME2 would be able to add a *minor* piece of content to the EC - reveal could have been on Earth, even - that would have generated an enormous impact.  It's not so much that *I* am dying to see this in the game, but I know that so many fans are - and I think this is indicative of just another major disconnect on Bioware's part.

Outside of ME2, this company to which you refer has ceased to exist since 2008 (when ME2 was in early development anyway). There is no Bioware. There is only EA. Repeat until understood.

I agree that they will reveal Tali's face in a paid DLC. This was probably planned from the beginning. It would likely mean though that the extended cut was really a band aid. If we never see Tali's face modeled, even in paid dlc, it will truly be mind boggling.

That photo does look like the quarian is unmasked, meaning they've obviously modeled a quarian. However, I doubt we'll even see a full unmasked quarian in the EC, probably just more profile. Wouldn't want to ruin the full reveal, only hint at it more.

I only kept her alive so I could later see her face so yeah...I was pretty bleh when I heard the only way to see her face was to romance her and even then you only got a silly picture where she looked far too human.

Given the size of the EC download I am kinda surprised they didn't include a small Tali reveal scene on the normandy or something.
Was kinda nuts that it got left out.

I guess people DO believe in space magic
