As the topic suggests I'm curious if there is a actual character "planner" out there. Unless I'm missing something the only thing the character creator does is allow you to see how a lvl 1 begining character will look and what skills they will start with. I'm looking for something that would let me plan out a character.

I'm in the same boat. I downloaded the character creator, and I was extremely disappointed that it only went as far as level 1.

There is a character planning spreadsheet somewhere. I'm still trying to find it, as I lost the link.

The character planner slash mentions only goes through 20 levels and doesn't include points from landsmeet or joining wardens. Also doesn't include tomes.
Is there one that includes these features?

Since this was last commented on 11 days ago, I was wondering if there has been any updates? I would love a character planner to plan out each level for my next DAO playthrough

While it is slightly different from a 'planner' there is a way to build your dream character and actually test it - http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=585
I haven't used it, but it might be worth a go

This was kind of lacking from the Mage angle... no staff to start with and none that i could find in the equipment chests. Looks like a pretty good resource other than that though.
Oh wait, the "easy" battle to test your character was like 8 creatures and definitely not "easy" for my noob mage without a staff

What's the character planner for? Life is what happens while you plan. Can't you just play the game?

Ever taken a skill that sounded good and turned out to be pure, useless ****?Marvin_Arnold wrote...

Try being sad about it at level 19.

from what i am noticing, none of these actually includes the skills for future levels, and what they do....so maybe the correct term for what I am looking for is a charactier optimizing tool....like the skill planners for d2 back in the day. where it can tell me What the possible choices for specializations and what Those skills do before having to select them....

What you guys want is: Numbers, right ?
Like, if you have 50 spellpower, how much flaming weapon will add into melee damage. Something like that ?
