I won't.  I will use all of you as guinea pigs.
If most of your reactions are positive, I'll download it.
Simple.

It's 2 days before my birthday. And if the EC sucks, then my entire birthday would have been rendered pointless.

If you let something like ME ruin your BD, you should probably spend your BD at a bar.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I'm excited- because it means more Mass Effect. On the other hand, the ending isn't going to change, and I want to brace myself so that I don't end up as upset as I did the first time it ended. how do I prepare? How are you going to prepare? Are trying to not think about it? Prepare for the worst? Psych yourself up? Do a lot of drinking?

I have done a lot of situps lately so I hope my abs are strong enough to cope with the laughter.

To be honest, I'm impatient and i wasn't expecting this until August or so, so that's a very good point.

But I've just finished the game with the last option I hadn't tried (synthesis) and i've got to say, everybody ending up looking like a stupid motherboard just killed me. Plus I don't see why in that case EDI didn't get to grow hair in all the wrong places. It still doesn't make any sense why Shepard was more entitled than anybody else to become e-Jesus.

So after the sadness, the disbelief, the questioning and the anger, I'll do my best to emotionally step away from it. So I'm not expecting anything from it, especially after hearing the podcast, but I am curious and eager to be able to move on.

The sun is shining, it's finally summer, it's a bit strange, but lately I've often caught myself wondering what would Shepard do, and Shepard wouldn't linger, she definitely would move on ;-) (actually she probably wouldn't play video games, collect stupid starship models, feed tropical fish nor adopt space hamsters but that's another story).

PS: ah, and, I'll definitely drink when I'll play the EC, but then I ALWAYS drink when I play ME3.

I'm preparing a few other RPGs that I'll play to get my mind off ME3 if it fails horribly.

And I've got a list of generic shooters I'll play if it goes well, so I can ponder the ending while shooting aliens/****s/zombies/zombie **** aliens.

Well since I didn't dislike the ending anyway, I don't need much preparation, plus I'll probably do an ME2 playthrough and then see the EC when I go through ME3 again.
I'll probably just see what people say about it on forums though.

I tried to start prepare early with a bottle of Southern Comfort. Didn't do me much good though. Only thing I got out of that was a terrible hangover this morning, and also it seems I bought Max Payne 3 on Steam. Not that I remember doing so. But still, there it is. Installed and ready to play.
Well... At least I got something to do if the EC doesn't deliver.

I have my samurai sword ready to perform hara-kiri as I know how it's going to end.

Forgive me, father. I cannot... live with this shame.

Watch it on youtube, stay as emotionally detached as possible.

If it's good, I'll let myself get attached to it in my own playthrough. If it's bad, Bioware has lost me forever, no going back.

To be honest, damage was done -_- I am already in peace with fact that EC won´t bring sattisfaction ... just a change a game company or rather start doing something different in my life...

When the ending hit me, I was like commander Shepard getting hit by Harbinger's beam. I was barely alive, and I just wanted to die. But I didn't. Now, im limping by, still hurt even though I have had time to recover. I can still make it...but for the first time in the series, I really feel discontent to the point I may discontinue playing the game series and destroy my ME3 copy and it all hangs on the EC.

I'm trying to be excited, but not as excited as I was when I first booted up ME3.  Hopefully the  EC will at least make the series feel more complete.

There is nothing to get prepared about, emotionally or otherwise, as far as I'm concerned. The EC will not be making any changes to the nonsensical ending, what we will get is some cut-scenes showing us epilogue cards for our choices, probably some dialogue added here and there.

But the overall problems with ME3's ending will remain untouched.

They have a chance to redeem the entire series from being pointless.

Sure Shepard rids the galaxy of reapers, but on a personal level it's very dissatisfying; separated from the Normandy, Earth rendered uninhabitable, no more Geth helping the Quarians, no more EDI (assuming the Catalyst is lying about the Geth and other synthetics dying)

Bioware can make the series immortal, or they can kill it outright from the coma it's in right now.

If they pull it off, I'd probably get a subscription to the old republic.

Bioware lost me as a ME customer I think for good no matter the outcome, but as for Dragon Age... I'll wait for the reviews. IF they mess up the Dragon Age franchise further or keep the same crap I saw in Dragon Age 2, then no sale ever again.

I'll be "preparing" just like you though... I doubt I'll play it.

Emotionally I'll prepare myself for it failing... and if by some miracle of God that it doesn't fail, I will be happy.
