I've run into a seemingly game breaking glitch in Urn of Sacred Ashes. I've already done all the other optional quests and have devoted alot of time to this save so I hope someone can help.
Basically what happened is before doing Redcliffe I visited Denerim and basically wandered around, I stumbled into Brother Genitivi's house, entered into the dialogue with Weylon and killed him. Sometime after I finished up Redcliffe and the Urn of the Sacred ashes quest started, it directs me back to Genitivi's house but won't let me proceed with the quest from there (it won't update my log, map, etc.). This is a main quest so I can't complete the game.
Even if no-one can help me, Bioware could easily patch this so it doesn't happen to anyone else by simply making Genitvi's door inaccesible before the quest begins.

Did you pick up the Research book sitting on the table which is what triggers Haven to appear on the map?

Yes, before I did Redcliffe unfortunately. Thanks though.

I cant seem to think of anything else besides checking out Genetivi's house one more time from top to bottom for anything you might have missed, otherwise you will have to restart the game

Don't you have the haven village on your map?

Even though the quest directs you to Genitivi's home, just ignore the direction and go straight to Haven instead. You can continue to quest there. That's what I did after doing visiting Denerim first, just as you did.

The same thing happened to me, but if you have Haven on your map you just go there and do the quest, as soon as you grab the book I'm pretty sure Haven shows up on the map.
