I waited to see if Shepard is alive with his/her LI or everything goes to hell and the trilogy ends as worse as it can.

This is what I'm waiting for.

All else is secondary to me - I've given up hope of the ending making sense.

Shepard gets a radio transmission from the resistance in the aftermath of w/e the choice of ending. They ask bamboozled and flabbergasted...."was this you....what happened?" Shepard then says "I won". He leaves the citadel in a shuttle and flies past a dead Harbinger, he looks at him with a smug expression and then rides off into the distance.

At the very end, the camera pans to a recording of Shepard shaking hands with the Illusive Man.

Cut to Black.

Happy?

Nothing.

Satisfied?

Massive amounts of content to clear up all the bullsh*t, but that's not going to happen.

Accepting?

Team reunion, decent epilogues, the removal of the Catalyst's problem.

There's nothing they can do to make their ending good. Acceptable is the best they can hope for, but I'm at least optimistic about that.

Pretty much this.  The original ending was so bad that there was no way to make it good without redoing it.  The best they can shoot for, with me at least, is to make it acceptable.  Unfortunately, their podcast makes me question if they can even pull that off.  It's rather sad that the best I'm hoping for is that it is acceptable.

Remove the Catalyst completely. Just cut from Anderson's farewell to the Destroy ending. Solve so many problems and doesn't try to make a whole new plot for the entire trilogy in the last few minutes of the story.

I would like to see my War Assets at work, I want to see Geth fighting alongside Quarians, I want to see a group of Salarian STG, who have been overrun by reaper forces being saved by Krogan Forces.

I would like to see more then only 2 minutes of space battle.

The endings, well I don't like them but I learned to accept them, however I want to know the fate of the galaxy, all the races, my squadmates, my LI.

Those are my hopes.

I want them to explain how/why Control, Synthesis, and Destroy work. I want Shepard to CHALLENGE Catalyst, and not just accept everything it says at face value. I want the option to say, "No, I reject your proposition, let the chips fall where they may." Even if that means the Reapers win, because from where I'm standing, only Destroy defeats the Reapers.

Clarity and closure would make me happy. Tie up loose ends and fill those frakken plot holes.

A reunification of Shepard with his/her LI/crew (at least in the Destroy ending) would satisfy me completely.

Happy? Shepard alive and reunited with crew.
That's what I'm hoping for anyways, though I'm fearing the worst.

I would need an option to free the reapers from the Great Savior's control. Let them make their own choices. It could be ****in. Some choose to destroy everything, some choose to destroy themselves, some choose to help. Tons of people die, but at the end of the day, my Shepard stays consistent. (Also, completely insane, and the single biggest threat to the galaxy).

Since I have to choose genocide, mental domination, or eugenics, I would be happy if Shepard, after making a choice, trips on a poorly place rake and breaks his neck.

The opportunity to reject the Catalyst's logic, because all three of its solutions are utterly toxic to the themes of the series up until that point.

Will feeling that i really saves the galaxy be enough? I don't know. This is actually what i was expecting in a first place. I fear this is just too late now.

We'll see.

I would like for there not to be the inevitable **** storm that hits on these forums on the 26th. I hope the EC does what it set out to do, clarify the endings. That would make me happy.

Complete removal of Starchild, a signed apology letter, and lot's of cookies.

Seriously though, nothing, you can't unscrew something you screwed up that bad, just not possible.

Clarification on why the Normandy is where it is, though the revealed screenshot hints that this will indeed be clarified. I'm good with the rest.

What would have made me happy was for the EC to change the ending or at the very least add a couple of hours of gameplay after it. Barring that (since apparantly fans are being unreasonable for wanting that), I just want for all the plotholes in the ending to be explained, and for there to be some sort of explanation for what happens after ME3. Considering we're only supposed to have ten minutes of cutscenes or so per playthrough, I don't have my hopes up.

For it not to be an extended cut.

Cobbett wrote...

It’s not really an extra question that screws things up, but an unnecessary answer. Everything that happens between dealing with the Illusive Man and the Mass Effect relays going boom should have been cut. The series was absolutely fine when it was the Lovecraftian menace of the Reapers, and lord only knows why Bioware suddenly decided that a big picture of multiple cycles of civilisation combining their resources to take out a threat to all life suddenly wasn’t big enough to roll credits on. No matter how good the new idea, or how well written, there was simply no need to add a new layer, with Casper the Genocidal Ghost showing up to take credit for the series in the last few seconds.
...
Mass Effect 3′s crimes are betraying its own themes for the sake of one more surprise; one more plot point.

...That said, if Shep and Samantha get together, themes can go to hell.
