after ME3s ending and the abortion of a blizzard game known as Diablo 3... I REALLY need a video game company to show me they give at least half a **** about their playerbase

Well i would argue that Bioware making a free DLC with 10 minutes of cinematics shows they do care. Even though the content of the EC may or may not be to your liking.

I'm currently replaying the trilogy (in the middle of ME1 currently), I want a good ending this time...or atleast one that's less infuriating.

I. Catalyst conversation
(1) More exposition of the organic/synthetic problem, based on the phrasing used in the leaked script. An opportunity is provided for Shepard to "investigate" that exposition. This is a must because it is the only way for Shepard to accept the Catalyst's logic without looking like an idiot.
(2) More exposition of the Catalyst's nature. An opportunity is provided for Shepard to "investigate" that exposition. This is needed because there is a need to establish a minimum of trust. We must be able to accept the choices it provides without feeling like we're supporting the enemy.
(3) A logically consistent description of the results (not necessarily the process) of the Synthesis ending that avoids utopian imagery, nonsensical concepts and metaphors easily misunderstood, based on the description in the leaked script and/or in Siduri's Unofficial Epilogue Slides. A vague description is acceptable, but it must make sense.
(4) Clarification of Shepard's fate in Control in a non-contradictory and logically consistent way, based on the phrasing in the leaked script and/or in Siduri's Unofficial Epilogue Slides.
(5) No ambiguity about the fate of the relays. This is important because if we need to speculate about the galaxy's future, we need some common ground as a starting point. Options are (1) totally destroyed, (2) heavily damage with a long repair time, (3) slightly damaged with a short repair time, (4) intact.
(6) Clarification that the relays are slightly damaged or intact in Control.
(7) Clarification of the results of not making a choice, preferably by giving Shepard an opportunity to reject the Catalyst's reasoning. Show what happens then. A Reaper victory and fast-forwarding a cycle to show a yahg listening to Liara's message would be fully acceptable, but it must be shown. A message "Critical mission failure" is not sufficient.
(8) The Catalyst appears in a different form, not as that child from the start of the game. (This is likely not within the parameters of what Bioware has announced)
II. The Normandy
(1) Explanation of Joker's flight and the fate of the Normandy.
(2) Explanation of the presence of your last squadmates on the Normandy.
(3) Clarification or retcon of things so that the Normandy does not end up lost in "Earth is OK" variants.
III. Action and Closure
(1) Showing the major war assets in effect where applicable in the ending sequence
(2) Showing the characters not with Shepard in action where applicable, including ME2 characters. Do not let the LI die.
(3) Showing the effects of the war and of our major decisions on the species of the galaxy, including what will happen on Rannoch and Tuchanka.
(4) Showing something of the fate of the characters. Not too detailed, since we don't want our headcanons ruined.
(5) Showing reactions to Shepard's death/survival. Possibilities include reunion or funeral scenes
(6) Showing the fate of the allied fleets in the Sol system.
IV. Other
(1) Fixed post-decision flashback so that all Shepards see their LIs.

sadly and I really really hate to say this but I hope Indoctrination is what happens. We already know the ending isn't going to change much and its not going to be a very long cut scene. I think Indoctrination is the only thing that wouldn't change it much and fit in that time gap. If they don't go with indoctrination and they just further the space magic stuff I better be able to be a mage in Mass Effect 4
Never seen the Babylon 5 spin off Crusade? Techno Mages exist in scifi.
If they keep the current story and just expand on it with elucidation via dialogue and the cinematics basically are relating to companions, fleets and worlds for the most part what happens to each I imagine many people would be okay with it even if some will not. Will never please everyone in the first place. They said did something with war assets but not sure what too and that have more personalized cinematic endings based on previous choices made in both ME3 and previous games so should be fine imho.

i would settle for finding out about the squad.
my canon romance was jack, what did she do when she found out about shepards death
where tali, wrex, garrus etc all trapped on earth.
if not what positions did they take on helpnig their poepl rebuild
a funeral scene for shepard, and considering what he done there should be lots of tears and a massive statue
who gets to command the normandy next
what happens to cerberus

#1 Most of it makes sense.
#2 Shepard is not separated from the squad if he/she is still alive.
#3 The galactic civilizations figure out some way to rebuild after the relays are destroyed.

I will probably still find inconsistencies in the story. TIM will still feel like a shadow of his former self, Kai Leng will probably never feel like an antagonist.... but if my choices now feel like they matter.... I might be able to let it all go and just.... be happy.

-At the very least, to continue the game using the indoctrination theory, but that likely wont happen since its what would make sense not to mention confirm that they sold us a unfinished game beyond what it already is.
This extended cut thing wont change how the game ended or the fact that the ending even needed to have an extend cut to explain it. The writers and developers should have done their jobs in the first place and made a ending that gave their loyal fans and customers closure and was a climatic bang instead of a sickly whimper.
Sorry but as much as I hope that this thing is worth the time for downloading it, the game shouldn’t have needed it in the first place if anyone was doing their job or cared about the game franchise and their customers.
The ending will always leave the taste of manure in my mouth and nothing can fix that.
