My reaction would probably be something like " well this is solid proof that god exists and that humans have a soul... can't very well receive divine inspiration after bartering your soul to the d _ _ i _ "

Somewhat annoyed, but not much so, because I'm going into this with minimal expectations.

This. I have complained for months, but I have very low expectations, now. It's basically just going to be a polished turd; I've accepted that.

And from that moment on, Bioware will be dead to me, and I'll consider the Mass Effect universe gone for good - kinda like Star Wars after the prequels came out and Lucas started to "improve" upon the original trilogy.

No money from me. Ever. Again.

Well I dont expect them to fix anything, I will play it, I would even have PAYED for it. If it fixes nothing I will just accept that current bioware sucks, DA2 and now ME3, coming from KOTOR and DAO.

If im not happy with the EC I wont play another bioware game ever, I will have lost all my faith in them at that point, but im hoping the EC gives me closure. That or they announce a new game set in the ME universe.

As is, I am not touching the SP anyhow.

If the Director's Cut - why not settle for that name, sounds better to me - fails I will be confirmed on simply ignoring SP-content altogether. I am having a bit of fun in MP, probably due to the fact that I entirely missed the GoW-train, and I will launch the game just for that.

It is nice to hear that they have had a long look at the entirety of Priority:Earth again. However, I do damn well hope that they realize what the simplest adjustments at the very end are and have implemented those.
Otherwise, I do not see the point in this exercise. Still mildly curious to see recordings of the new content.

And if they do set things straight, I will merrily consider purchasing more content from the BW-folks. Otherwise, not so much, nope.

Then go start hanging out on Bethesda forums.... Yea that's right, I said it.

Not a bad idea, Bethesda aren't so precious about their story that they block fans at every turn.

If I recall correctly, they made broken steel for fans that hated the ending, they always support mod tools and they are currently patching the crap out of skyrim and took amost a whole year to do DLC.

Oh yeah and they didn't waste money on MP.

And they outsourced the second game to a studio consisting of original developers of the first fallout games, making old school fallout fans happy.

love those guys.

This.  I have said If I am not satisfied with how the Extended Cut wraps up Shepard's story (even allowing for the stupid in my opinion, mandate of "Shepard must die"), I will not invest any further in Mass Effect for sure and reluctantly any other franchise BioWare is involved with.

I'm going to treat it with indifference due to the fact much more than the final mission needs to be fixed. The entire game is a total letdown compared to the first two. As for the story, I'l never buy another game that Walters is the lead writer on. He may be a nice guy and all however I choose to not pay for his professional work.

@Jade8aby88 , maybe I'll see you there. :)

It will probably fix the comparatively minor issues I have with the ending. What I really want it to fix is the community. It will get a little quieter around here.

yea totally! I know they haven't announced it, but I reckon Fallout 4 is in the works, and it's going to be huge! =)
I heard they're using the Skyrim engine.

But yes, I do want it to fix the community also, but I can see it getting a lot worse and louder before it goes quiet again. However, once it does go quiet again, I think it will stay relatively quiet forever.

@Matt Finni... Oh yes, how could I forget to hang around here for the lols.. BSN can be such a funny place cant it?

You just won so much love from me for using Lilly's "you're dead to me" look!
Just remember, she used it on her dad but they are all happily reunited now... Don't let that be the case here.

Yes they very rarely do their fans wrong, and when they do they admit their faults. That's why I will always go Zenimax > EA.

It really is the smaller companies that care most. Not that Zenimax is small, but by comparison.

My emotional reaction? Ambivalent.
As to my thoughts probably just "Yep, that's about what I expected."

I've never believed that extending the endings will do anything to salvage ME3's weak story. A cracked vase is still cracked even if you have put some glue on it.

I have no expectations since the moment they announced the EC and what it was all about. No amount of clarification can fix what they did with the ME story, i just watched again the take earth back cinematic trailer on youtube and remembered why i had so high expectations before the game was released, epic fight on Earth with the Normandy flying along with Turian Frigates, Shepard on the ground spearheading an ENTIRE ARMY against the Reaper hordes...The ending we have now is empty and if anything it's a mockery of everything established about the galaxy and the Reapers on the previous two games, extending it does nothing to improve it, and them saying that players only want clarification and closure but disabling the likes/dislikes on the podcast video on youtube again makes me think they know they did something wrong.
So yeah, i won't even react to the EC, it will be something like "yeah, i expected something like this" and then move on to the games i'm playing now since ME3 is not one of them.

Do the laugh Donnie does at the end of Donnie Darko. Happily play some Skyrim and be aware that BioWare has just destroyed themselves.
