Has the bug where much of Ken/Gabby's dialougue (including romance) is unavailable if Ashley was killed on Virmire been patched yet, or is it still there?

I started a new playthrough where I saved Kaiden and if the bug is still there, I'll know not to waste time going to talk with them.

Hasn't been fixed as of current patch, no mention in EC material to date. I doubt we will see it soon.

That's a shame.

I''d use my other save with ashley in it, but it was a fail save that I started in ME1 just for lolz. I made the worst possible decisions, and got as many people killed as I could. Ken and Gabby kicked the bucket in the collector's base.

if you're not above using Gibbed to fix the problem yourself, set integer 10314 (Ashley's affection for you) and/or integer 10330 (# of missions you've brought Ashley on) to 8. I would recommend only using the second one if she is still alive, so it doesn't mess up your relationship progress. I set both to 8 with Kaidan in my games, and Ken and Gabby become much more chatty.

Last official word I heard is that a fix would not fit in a patch and it would have to be bundled with DLC. So, a fix is still possible, but not anytime soon unless they managed to fit it in the Extended Cut DLC, which would make all this ending business worth it for me.

In any case, if you want to hear the dialogue but don't want to wait for a patch that may or may not come and don't want to use gibbed, watch this video:

Can anyone confirm if the fix did come with the EC or not?

I believe it has been fixed with the EC dlc. I went into engineering immediately after the Grissom Academy mission, and Ken was already talking about EDI's new body.
Thank goodness I can finally get rid of that accursed gibbed software. It already corrupted one of my playthroughs when I was already at the Sanctuary mission.

I've been friendly with Ash on this playthru and allowed her back onboard the Normandy after the coup, but now Ken and Gabby are silent! They were friendly and talkative right up until this point, has anyone else had this problem?

Update:  Okay, now that I have completed the Rannoch missions, they are back to talking/arguing. All is well.

Yep. Completely fixed. I was extatic when I downloaded the EC and found them arguing.
