I knew that there wasn't an evil or good system in this game but I think I have screwed up royally.  I kept Logahin(sorry if the name is spelled wrong; tired) and now Alistar walked out on me and on top of that I did not agree to Morrigan's ritual and she left me.  So I was left without my mains besides Leliana.  Are there any more of these events that have party members leave you?  If so, could you pleae tell me so I can avoid them in the near future?  Thank you.

- Dont defile sacred relics!

- DO kill Loghain

- DO ram Morrigan, or get Alistair to do it

Well you hit 2/3 already, nice!

My first playthrough I was so scared that some important AI might get pissed off at my girl that I spent hours of talking to them, always picking the most meek and agreeable option, pampered them with gifts and shivered at every quest that seemed dubious.

I ended that game with almost all of them loving me at 100 and me hating them all with a passion.

You can get everyone to ditch you basically
Wynne :
Can be killed on the spot in the circle tower
Can be killed later in the circle tower by siding with the templars
Will turn on you if you desecrate the urn of andrastes ashes

Sten :
Can be left to die in Lothering
You can simply tell him to leave

Morrigan :
You can deny her the **** at the end of the game and she will leave forever
You can simply tell her to leave

Alistair :
Can be executed if you let Loghain do the joining

Loghain :
Can be executed if you don't let him do the joining

Dog :
Can be killed on the spot

Zevran :
Can be killed on the spot
Can turn on you when Antivan crows return to find him

Lelianna :
Can be told to leave
Will turn on you if you desecrate andrastes ashes

Shale :
Can be told to leave
Can turn on you if present when you side with Branka

Oghren :
I actually haven't found a way to ditch him , ever actually

Rumor claims it is possible to get Oghren to leave if you royally **** up his chances to hook up with a girl, though I haven't tested this myself.

Loghain and Morrigan both blatantly announce they'll leave if you don't do exactly what they want.

I thought you could just ask Oghren to leave. My last playthrough he was totally buff though, I'd go after some baddies and forget about a mage and he'd be smashing the mage or some elite to bits without me noticing. Respecced him to be a shield user, so awesome.

O rly? Funny that, I leave Morrigan to clean the camp and make a dinner all the time, now and then I give her some cheap shiny gadget and she is all happy and loving me dearly.
Loghain is too ugly to have any chances to get in my party anyway.

I was kinda pissed to find out that it doesn't matter if you heroically sacrifice yourself morrigan will bone a grey warden and have a baby that is cursed anyways.Does that mean that the best ending is to save my life by getting her pregnant?? I mean I guess Bioware is setting up for sequal with that but how will it effect my charater should that make the sequal be able to sue your story line and have it matter like Mass effect 2?

Oh but Loghain is so much more agreeable to talk to than Alistair. He didn't whine once, told me I was right all along, and is a beast of a tank to boot. I liked him a lot for the 2 hours I had him with me.

I kept Loghain too, Alistair just became too whiny so I agreed to marry the queen and had Alistair executed for deserting the Grey Wardens just like Duncan killed Jory for trying to leave at the last minute. I now use Shale to replace Alistair. Pooch or Shale would do though.

I went through my first game pushing Alistair along thinking that in the end maybe he'd man up and give an Aragorn style speech to the troops. It never happened and instead he said he never wanted to be king and sacrificed himself to save me. It was quite noble but I felt he did it more to get out of being king than to save me. For someone that slays dragons for a living he sure was a wuss most of the time. Still there's something I like about him. He's still tanking for me in my second play through. I'm not pushing for him to be king this time though. Don't think I can go for Loghain though. I really can't stand him as a person although I can understand where his line of thinking comes from. He comes from a past that the younger people cannot understand. He's also a pure warrior placed into a position of leadership and that is rarely a good thing.

I have 7 complete games now and of those characters i am left with 4 corpses, one she was queen,  one demon spawn, and one Allister death, at this rate i will never have a character to play the expansion or DAO2 with. Once i found out that ; if I set up the marrage of Allister to Anora, spare Loghain after the duel, Allister will still be king and i get to storm the castle with Loghain who will take the final blow, which allows my PC to live i think this is going to be my ending of choice fro plays number 8 and beyond.

i did convince alistair to be king with Anora but he broke that promise when I sided with loghain. and he ended up as a drunk nobody in a tavern in antiva. IIRC.

You didn't take the dialogue options to harden his outlook on life (after he meets his half-ssiter) then.

A question : if you have the minimal number of party members... who the hell protects the gates in Denerim?

Even if you have wardog as a 'spare' (BAD people!) you don't get the 'defend the gates' event :(

Another thing to add to the list posted earlier, one thing I've heard (but not tested myself)

One other thing, if you go to the urn of sacred ashes with Sten in your party there is a chance he will question your quest to fight the archdemon and if you are too lippy with him he will demand he takes control of the party and want to fight you for it, if you beat him, he asks to leave.

Yeah I got that with Sten. . . at the time my mage didn't stand a chance against him.  Good thing it autosaved when I had entered the village.  In my mage playthrough I am trying to be the evil mage who wants power and loves to corrupt others.  Got an army of werewolves and golems at my command to boot also throw in templers. I had killed Dog when I first met him and I have killed Wynne because she didn't think the cleansing of the circle was good.  I showed her, lol.  I had to restart the whole anvil of the void quest cause I couldn't bring myself to kill Shale.  Now in my mage playtrhough I have Zevran, Sten, and Shale as my mains.

Now thinking about it, I may have it easier when I am defending the gates since last time I didn't bother equiping the people who weren't my mains so I had trouble when darkspawn decided to interrupt our lovely get together.

Though I have created a thread about this already but since this thread seems to be getting popularity, I was wondering if you could rule beside the Anora regardless of background, race, or gender?  I would appreciate the info.

Alistar the drunk, haha, sigh, got that ending too.

Supposedly Wynne will leave if you tell her you're a blood mage.

After I whooped his arse in Haven, he was satisfied with my leadership and didnt ask to leave. I guess it depends on approval rating at the time?

i didn't push alistair to be king. i just let anora take it. she has the experience and all, so i did that.
