Lots of really good players never or only occasionally promote. I play with a couple guys regularly who all have N7s lower than me (990) and they are all better than me, some way better.

After N7120, I don't care about n7 rating. Below 120 shows people who haven't maxed all the classes at least once so they are generally relatively new. But I know plenty of people who play alot but never promote. I will only kick below 120's.

I've gone in silver matches as like N720 and got decent scores.

N7 has no relation to a player's skill whatsoever.

Assumtions are a dangerous thing. Especially when they are completly wrong and based solely on your personal opinions.

N7 means one thing, period, nothing more, nothing less.
It's a time stamp.

Not basing it on my opinion. Out of about 15 gold runs ive done this weekend with randoms a player comes in under around 500 id see a boot pop up on them almost immeditly.

Really? That's just pathetic. Under 120 I can understand, because it means they have never fully got all classes to level 20, but after that it's just plain stupid.

Yes it is. It began to get so annoying I had to party up just so we had a could keep lower players.

i reguarly get booted out on gold at level 300+ just because i keep using the asari adept, re-levelling up again and people assume the low level characters are going to fail, its funny when someone wont boot me and i end up carrying with the detonations did used to vanguard it but got sick of the glitch that should be impossible so gave up vanguard (although if they fixed it may start again)

Other than that, I also check loadouts. Had a 300+ with a phaeston and a claymore using an asari adept. Who does that?

just played a match of silver and some QMI N7-1050 joins and starts complaining about a Turian soldier N7- 35, so he goes "all right guys lets kick this scrub" the little X shows up next to the TS. like 2 seconds later the Xs popped up 1-2-3 next to the QMI.
He then sent me a message telling me that i was a scrub and that he was gonna bust out his hax on all 3 of us.
the TS just hung out in the back and shot prox mine at everything and finished off the guys who got away from me and the other guy, so i would say he was a good team mate

I've seen N7 150 - 170 guys putting up to 140k points with excellent mix of weapons, classes and gear and I've seen N7+500 up to 2300 playing terribly and being incredibly underequipped.

N7 means nothing - atm I'm N7 300 myself and most of the competent players I sticked with were around 250 - 700.

i would still be 360 if it wasnt for that one op...

120 just means he has never promoted. N7 gauges nothing beyond that number because not everyone promotes since there is no real reward for it.

crappy carry over to single player not included..

i would like to lower my N7 back from 720 to 360 if i could but i not willing to do the work for all my weapons again.

 i have an experience of people with N7 of 250-500 are the people i can put some trust on during the game...however i've seen many N7 1000 guys in which were no asset for the team WHATsoever

im Rank of 300 and im STAYING on it, i ain't promoting anymore unless its an operation to do so (in which i'll do in 5 minutes pretty much)

alright now...my skill level


i top almost alll the scores on all games im on with my phoenix adept ,batarian soldier,Human Sentinel,Human vanguard

all of which im always an asset to the team,i try to revive when i can and i won't die unless its something completely bull and unfair (like the geth rocket troopers and hunters :/ )

I refused to promote for the longest time...but then those character cards started to get on my nerves. So now I get all my classes up to lvl 20, promote them, and go nuts in the store hoping to get some ultra rares (and when I get the inevitable large number of character cards, the free XP they offer isn't completely wasted).

Imagine a player who levels up and promotes adepts, for example, til his n7 is 1000+. Then he breaks out his soldier who is 20 due to character cards. Would you assume he is good?

The Only reason my N7 level is at around 300 is because of the weekend challenge. Other than that I'd be lower and I usually am the best guy on my team.

After the match was over I asked how he put up that high of a score being so low in N7.

You know what?, I started with Asari Vanguard and claymore since i started in MP, I almost always overscored people with high N7 who asked me the same question that you ask her.

Some of us don't really like to promote, I am a big example of that, my N7 is 1300 just because of challenges, but If i were a promote fan I were like 10.000, but believe me when I say "N7 DOES NOT MATTER", is not an indicator of skill.

My rule of thumb is that if the N7 rating is above 100 and the class is above level 10, then they should be able to hold their own in a game.

and you need to read...

i like when people pick one sentence and disavow the rest.

My point is...SOOOO MANY on this board are quick to say high N7 and skill have no correlation. BUT  120 and under means SKILL? nah man...just means you dont promote...while high N7 just means someone promotes regularly.

lol, I remember a game where there were 3 infiltrators and I had more kills than them and I was using Asari Vanguard with Claymore in Hydra, one of them added to only to ask how I could do that. xD

I only promoted all of my characters once for the Operation awhile back. I'm a 284 right now. I rarely ever vote to kick, but if I do it's because you're in a gold match with something ridiculous such as your character is level 13 or less or you're using a biotic class but equipped with a Revenant + Claymore or something.

I've seen people who are 500+ N7 level and they blew ass.
