Okay, first I'd like to say that I did not expect combat to be so much better than in ME1.
So now my question:
First visit to the Citadel, some stores let me dialogue offer to endorse them personally. They record Shephard's voice in a short, dispassionate message by male Shephard.
A. Is this potentially bad? Won't the council or some other organization misuse it or misinterpret it? I put Udina on the council in my ME1 save because Anderson probably wouldn't like politics.
B. Will endorsements result in dancers actually dancing with my Shephard instead of him shuffling alone? Because as it is now, no dancers will dance with dancing Shephard because it's like he has leprosy.
C. Do endorsements have a deeper effect? My weak theory is that somehow endorsements by the former Specter will lead to open public questions about the reapers. Or give Shephards voice to those who want to know the truth.
Specific questions about store endorsements in the game

As far as I know, the endorsements have no ill effects. Or any effect besides discounts. I never paid too much attention to it, because some shops I went paragon, others I used renegade and I got discounts with both. In any case, in ME2 it will not affect anything whatsoever.
Why would the endorsements influence dancing? They probably don't even know who Shepard is. Unless he starts saying "I'm Commander Shepard and this..etc." they would probably not even know who he is (the Asari with travel problems did not recognize Shepard in any way). And even then, they might only acknowledge him because he claims he is Shepard.
Also, Shepard sort of always dances alone if it is not plot related, I think. I have danced with a LI and for a mission. Both times I danced with someone. Once or twice I did dance on the dancefloor, but noone would come up to dance. I don't think it is scripted that way, the game. Also, some of the dancers don't dance in pairs either. Again, one of those things I did not pay much attention to because I was not interested in the fail dancing of Shepard
I doubt that the public would talk about reapers suddenly; the Council and no doubt others, covered it up saying Saren and the Geth attacked and made Sovereign. Why would they doubt that? The general public probably thinks quite well of the Council and will not believe the Council would lie about something this grave and important. And it isn't really a subject matter to calmly discuss in a public forum. I am sure if people knew that the reapers are a fact, not a myth, all hell would break lose. Fear, anxiety, anger, demands, etc. Social, economic and more effects. And even if they would aks questions, little is/was known of the reapers, which would only fuel the unrest and angst more.
Also, Shepard is with Cerberus in ME2. If he would suddenly go all public speaker, I am sure reporters would find out about Cerberus and Shepard's credibility would drop. There are also some who feel deceived that Shepard "only now" comes out that she/he is alive.

Shepard will retire from the military and begin a new career doing VOs for commercials.
