 Quick question for everyone. I have a couple friends who play ME3 and we used to always play with each other when we were roommates during the college school year. However, we all went our separate ways for the summer but still want to play with each other but we cannot connect to each other in ME3. We can get in Xbox live parties but cannot get into a lobby/party in ME3 multiplayer. Are there any router or ME3 specific requirements we should check, or some place online for other people with the same issue?

We can connect to games just fine and no general Xbox live problems (ie. we can connect with each other in other games, like Halo: Reach, just fine). But ME3 for some odd reason won't allow us to connect to each others games. Any ideas on what's going on, or do the Internet providers in four different states just hate us and don't want us to play multiplayer with each other lol.

You have to go create a private game and invite each other. That is the main way it's done. Outside of that check the NAT types of the new locations of all players since you guys are not in college anymore and make sure they are all open.

Ya, we've tried inviting to private games but that just leads to us getting stuck on the joining game screen after picking your character.

But I'm wondering if ME3 has any specific settings that I should have on my router? In Reach I have an open NAT (after switching some things around), and in other games like AC: Revelation my NAT type just changes depending on the day I decide to play. Both of those we can connect to each other but ME3 seems to just hate us lol.

Had that happen a few times to me and my friends, often one out of four of us will get stuck on the loading screen and not get into the lobby. Quitting the room and letting someone else be the host and re-inviting the party gets it fixed... though sometimes, you have to cycle through the other players to find out who's the 'best' host to allow all the players in.

Indeed, except it becomes really annoying when all of you try being the host and no one can join with each other lol.
