Hi All-
I've gone through the tunnels that are accessible in Caridins Cross and have no option other than going back to the deep roads... what am I missing???  I think that I'm supposed to get Oghren to speak to me at some point... but it hasn't happened.... Any suggestions?  thanks!

Have you been to the south exit for Caridin's Cross. That exit in particular is marked for going to Ortan Thaig.

I assume that Ohgren already joined your group officially? He's supposed to join prior to entering the Deep Roads, just before you go past the miners to enter the Roads.



As for exits from Caridin's Cross, there are two of them. However, the popup map erroneously labels both exits as "Deep Roads" even though one of them is actually the exit for Ortan Thaig. If you check the popup label that appears just before going into an exit/entrance, you'll see the proper label. As I recall, it's the southern exit that's Ortan Thaig.

Hah, I did the same thing on my last playthrough! "WTF, all exits lead back to the stupid Deep Roads!"

I am stuck trying to get to the dead trenches too. Just keep going in circles. I went through the south exti but just takes me Ortan Thaig which has no exit to dead trenches

Ortan Thaig does exit to the deep trenched but only after you find Branka's journal.  You need to fight the spider queen first

I killed the queen and got the journal but the dead trenches do not appear on the map. I used all exits but it does not appear on xbox

No, you didn't. The exit is north of the area where you got the journal. Kind of tough to find.
