The next Shepard through should actually be a destroyShep.
Then a synthesis.
So really, I've got an awful rainbow of choices here. But blue first. Also blue is pretty.

That made it impossible for me to select any of the three options without cringing. One way out would be to have the geth survive in the destroy option, because that would at least prevent me from having to comply to the brat's circular logic.

Destroy, it's the least awful and least stupid option. Still awful and stupid, but that sums up the ending full stop.

None of the 3 options make sense, because they are solutions to the hypothetical problem of synthetics dominating organics. Nothing in the game shows that they are a threat and even if you believe that then the brat and his boys had no right to interfere and violate the right of self-determination of the races involved. Organics dealt with synthetics one way or another just fine. The cyclical maniacal genocidal reproduction methods by using their cyclical "anscension through destruction" trademark and turning the bodies of the races into husks, the reapers did more harm than the synthetics can ever inflict. Despite their superior intellect, the brat and his boys showed that by using the most horrific scare tactics imaginable they are nothing but primitive savages with no conscious and empathy. Becoming a martyr of a hypothetical cause doesn't make sense either.

But, as I'm forced to make a choice for the game to actually end, for my two characters I make the following choices:
FemShep - Almost a pure renegade, hates the Reapers and wants them dead. Destroy option all the way.
BroShep - Paragon who would rather avoid combat and death, so the option would be Synthesis. I hate this option, but the logic I see for the choice here is that the Reapers are left alive, the various races are left alive, the Geth are still up and running, and galactic peace can finally come about. I do so loathe the changing of everyones DNA to do it though, it's just a horrible concept that I can't believe is an actual choice.

This is very true. If the game showed the geth wiping out a few planets or something then the ending would make slightly more sense than it doies now.
It wouldn't fix it by any means and the SC would still be making an appeal to probability but it would make it less ridiculous.

I agree with that.
Why didn't they keep dark energy, wich make more sense for thoses endings ?
Destroy : You destroy all synthetics, but you'll have to find the dark energy solution yourself
Control : You'll lead the Reapers for to find a way to solve the Dark Energy problem
Syntesis : You'll merg organic/synthetic and every evoluted life can search a way to solve Dark Energy problem.

She is unlikely to choose Synthesis as that seems too risky and one way or another will lead to a massive change in galactic politics and society.
Unless the EC manages to explain Synthesis in a way that makes sense and is appealing. But I doubt that will happen.
