 It appears as though on one my characters Leliana seems to have bugged out and I cannot ask her about anything . I only had the first thing you could ask her about her vision and then after that I could no longer ask her about herself to trigger her quest "Leliana's Past". My character isn't in a relationship with anyone and I've tried increasing her approval rating and that didn't work either. Is there any way to fix this or is there a patch for the 360 coming out anytime soon to fix this?

You may not have done enough tasks to open up the dialogue route yet. For example, did you get attacked by assassins yet? That's one prerequisite event for her personal quest (the last one, if I recall correctly, prior to her actually telling you the truth of her past).



You may also have made a mistake in talking to her about her life in the Chantry. When you first talk to her about her life there, you should compliment her about being a beautiful girl and a sister of the Chantry. That reply encourages her to begin to open up to you and trust you (just the initial feeling, though). After that exchange, Leliana will slowly tell you more in a couple other conversations, finally telling you the whole truth as noted above.

I was nice to her and complimented her and still no option. I suppose I should just keep traveling and hope I get attacked by those assassins when shes in my party?

Yes, but the assassin attack only happens after you have prior conversations with Leliana, so you have to do that first. If you didn't make the right choices when interacting with her about her past life in the Chantry, and some other interactions in conversations afterwards, you may not be able to trigger the sequence of events, including the assassin attack on her.



I always talk to my characters as soon as the join the party. You do not need to wait to return to camp to do this, in fact, although some characters won't discuss their past and personal information if they are more concerned with present pressing events (Wynne in Broken Circle, for example).

No, Zevran is not the assassin attack for Leliana's personal quest. It's a different assassin who you speak to about his target, who sent him, etc. That's why it only occurs after you have discussed Leliana's true past with her; the conversation with the assassin would not make sense otherwise.

One problem with triggering the personal quest is that you may have her approval too high. I'm in the same boat. Her approval won't go any higher, and I can't get her personal quest either... unless I break up with her. Problem is, I'm using the PS3 and this has apparently been fixed in 1.02 for the PC version.

I just ran into this bug on my second play-through using the 1.02 patch for the PC so apparently it's not quite fixed. A bunch of options disappeared after a certain approval rating, and I was left with an empty conversation tree. At some point, some of the options reappeared, but not the one where you ask her about bards being spies in Orlais, which kicks off the random encounter for her personal quest.

I managed to do it. You have to lower your approval rating to a certain point to get the spies question. If you're at full approval and in a relationship with her, breaking up will lower you enough to get the option again. And it isn't too bad since there's a way to get back together afterward. I can't comment on what to do if you're not in a relationship with her, but I'd assume lowering approval would bring the option back.

I am in the same boat. I'm at 100 approval and "in love" with Leliana, but I don't have the option to ask her about the spies, nor can I bed her. I'd like to do both. If I break up with her to get her quest, will I be able to bed her after that?

Regardless, how do I go about breaking up with her? It seems the only thing I can do is tell her to leave, but obviously I don't want that.

EDIT: I am playing the PC version and am patched....still didn't help.

I'm in the same boat as ClayMeow. PC patch 1.02 did not fix this bug.



The conversation tree is not empty for me though, it's mostly full of stories I want her to repeat. All are legends though, nothing personal. You can break up with her without telling her to leave though. Go with "I want to talk about us" -> "This isn't going to work" -> "Things are too uncertain" -> "My duty as a Warden comes first". She will say she'll always love you as a friend, and I lost 26 rep with her (from 100).



I don't know if there's a way to get back in romance with her. I sure hope so, but on the other hand I seemed to be stuck in perpetual platonic land, with the only "Romance" option in the conversation tree being "You're the best thing that ever happened to me."

I have been playing for 46 hours into the game now and I cannot complete the quest to gain the aid of the dwarfs in Orzammar. I have beaten the proving to gain Harrowmonts Support but the quest said I have failed. Also it says to talk to Vartag for Behlins support and it will not let me talk to him. I have completed almost every sidequest in the game so far thinking that it will change the status but it has not. I have read some walkthroughs on the game and I have followed their instuctions but it still will not let me advance forward in the quest. This is the only thing I need to complete to go on any further with the game. If you can let me know how to fix this or maybe there is a glitch in the game please let me know as soon as possible. My gamer tag is FV Supreme14. I really would like to finish the game. Thanks

The quest can get bugged quite easily if you try to play both sides (or, if the game thinks you are trying to play both sides). As far as I know there is no way to fix this apart from going back to an earlier save. Safer to pick one side and run with it, or if you want to do both sides: save often, save in different slots.

This is a common problem with many players. You must raise Leliana's early approval strictly through quest completion and camp dialogue, as opposed to gifts. Otherwise, some dialogue options will be permanently locked out, and you will have to go back to an earlier save.

u cant get the information from her if she likes u too much something about being embarassed about telling you the truth but u need to have a dialog about what she was doing in lothering and and ask her why she was being sheltered and she will lie and after u return to the camp and she confesses her true past and after you try to travel you will be attack by the mercenaries

I can't recall exactly what I said and don't have metagame knowledge to know precisely what each option leads to. I think I recall I broke up because I had to put my duties as a grey warden before individual happiness, or something like that. Her approval sank by 13 points or so. She said she would still treasure me as a friend and understood my decision, so I guess I chose a "nice" way to break up. I haven't tried the other options, so I don't know what the consequences will be. Other than that it was pretty straightforward for me, though, so if this doesn't work I can't give more advice.

I just did her quest now after breaking up with her and said that i hoped to be as important to her as Marjolaine was and she says she loves me. When do i bed her? Have you bedded her yet?

Congrats! The bedding happened not very long after. After the quest I gave her some gifts to raise her approval to maximum again. Try that.

I just beded her now aswell. Finally got that done.

and she as been in my party from the beginning and still all I get is "something I can help with?"

and all I can do is "never mind"
