Starting up GIRL CLAN

That attitude has jack to do with being female. And Groups like this arn't a cure to the problem just more fuel to the fire.
People on live that have mics can be grouped into three groups.
1, the Mice. People who are always quite and honestly I'm not sure why they have mics. And they when they finally talk speak rarely, quitely, and often will back the opinion of who's up top.
2, are as I call your friend talkers, these folks tend to actully be the best to talk with and are rather civil. However they have security status set to friends only or join a party chat, and don't hear any of the general chat. So remember next time you get griefed, SN EgalMan768 or what have you, might not just don't care. He or she likely has mic settings set to private or friends only so they don't hear the general crap.
Then lastly and the most vocal (and maybe largest) are the Griefers, and it doesn't matter if your female. Black, White, Mexican, Southern, Accent, better player, worse player, they will start crap with you. So hiding behind a praticular group doesn't help you.
If you don't want to listen to the garbage of the online community, learn how to use two buttons. Block this player., and Avoid this Player. Or just keep your settings to friends only. If you play a game with someone that performs well or you worked well together with, then send them an invite. But in general you can play online co-op with a random player an no voices.
75% of them won't listen anyways, try to kill you, or do what they want as you can't touch them, anyways.

As I said earlier, girls playing together get a completely different experience and it is not that easy to bond with other girls on the Xbox Live randomly around. Even in clans with mixed gender.
I am in no way saying it's impossible. Just saying it's not easy.
This clan is for girls who wants to get to know other girl gamers, to play together, have fun, to compete and so on. And I am happy to see that some of you are willing to spread the word and to take this somewhat serious.
If you do not like this idea, then don't bother yourself responding to this thread.

So...How does girls gaming together give a totally 'different' experience than when playing in a mixed group? More giggles? More small talk about hair issues, nail dye, dunno? I think the issue here is finding decent people to talk to and play together with. Gender doesn't make a person more 'suitable' to play together with, personality does. In my opinion, gender is irrelevant. Guys could just as well disguise themselves as girls. It's the internet, afterall.
Good question. And the answer has already been written. The clan's purpose are to unite girl gamers. For girls to bond friendships (which isn't easy over xbox live), to compete together or to just have fun. In general it would be different for girls to play together with other girls than playing with guys. You have to say it yourself. Girls hanging out vs. girls hanging out with guys puts up a different act. The way you speak, the way you act. You may disagree on that, but it is indeed that in at least 95% of the time.
And why stereotype girls in a category as giggling chicks with hair and nail topics going on?
What the girls would be talking about could be anything.
Might as well stereotype guys for talking about different sizes and burping contest.
When it comes to guys pretending to be girls, so be it. They can fool around as they wish, but in clan matters a microphone would be a nice thing to have.
If you got any more questions or something to add on, please, feel free to do so

I am currently starting up a girls clan only on Xbox Live. Any girl interested add me/message me on Xbox Live - TMI MoXxi - or send me a message here.
If you're a guy and have any girls that might be interested, please spread the word.
The purpose of the clan would be to set up roosters and play against other clans, but also for those who are not into the competitive region - we offer fun and friendship.
Games:
MW 2 or 3
Battlefield 3
Halo Reach (Halo 4 when it comes out)
Open for other games as well.
If you got any questions at all, message me here or on Xbox Live.
Hope to talk to any of you chicks soon.

Ok I'm male, sometimes mistaken in the bus/queue for a girl coz of the hair, but I'll spread the cuties... wait, what?
Problem with gamer girls is they are gold-rares. Everyone wants one on the list of friends. Thats why all those gender equalisms re being posted methinks. If one wants girl only club - let em have it, why bother convincing/argumenting we should all cooperate with love and understanding? There is a place for everyone, one would think the clan will take away possible female friends out of equation... damn, it doesnt, right?
On the other side, that is why I think I dont have any female internet "pals". Each flock to their own I guess. Its hard to befriend any if you play with ppl (I'm afraid to use term 'human') that constantly curse, and dump all imaginable profanities on 'noobs', 'campers' or other 'L2P biatch'... and that is sad, the audiences are overtaken with immature boys in short pants that broke loose from their mommies.
I had that kind of experience in BLR last night, I got so pissed that I actually got better - and then the wave of rage on 'sniping camper !'
Last time I met a female was on BLR actually, on opposing team, she was owning me (and others) with her tactical cloak and HRV(radar, sorta) disruptor. I asked how does that work - she called me to a corner of the map to show how does standing, running and sprinting affect invisibility.
Well, how many dudes from opposing team would do that and hinder their score? From my exp. - very few.

I think its very unfortunate that due to the attitude and general lack of manners of many online gamers, girls/women wish to start and join exclusively female clans.
Yeah, I saw a thread asking for gay/trans or gay/trans-friendly people to join his or her gang a while back (which not unlike this thread attracted a lot of the people the request was aiming to avoid). I can completely understand the need to make the online experience fun without sexism, phobia or racism. It's the ONE most important thing that keeps me out of MP's in general. I don't need to be told how much a "insert bigotry"-I am in an game I paid good money for.
To the original poster: I hope this post will function as a bump to advertise your wish to more people. And I hope you get lots of women in your clan. Good luck, and have fun. I have two female friends who play MP - I can ask them if they would like to join.

It had better be, because sexist generalizations are not permitted in this forum, even if they are aimed at guys.Milan92 wrote...

I used the 'stereotyping' as a means of sarcasm. Also, the way a girl acts around guys highly depends on the kind of guys she is hanging out with and the image she wants to give of herself. I don't act 'tough' around any 'tough' guys. They just gotta take me for who I am. But I guess that you got a point there. In any case, if this girl clan is something that makes you feel better while playing on Xbox Live, then you should go for it. I don't have an Xbox myself, nor would I wish to join your clan as I don't play multiplayer games, but I wish you good luck in finding some nice people then.
By the way you're writing, I can tell that you are highly against this idea of mine. Which is fine, but I think you would find it fun. A lot of nice, kind and funny-kick-ass chicks on the Xbox Live. And this is not to make me feel better. It is to have more fun in a different way. I play with guys as well, so there is no thick line of which to play with or not. It is for the pure share of fun, experience and kick-ass part.
