It's been a theme throughout the series that Shepard is the only one with enough of "what it takes" to save the galaxy. If he joined Saren, TIM and the droves of other weak minded examples of NPCs and was indoctrinated I would seriously give that the credit of being the worst ending in history. It would so anti-climactic and horrible.
This is why the IT is false.
What?
The entire premise of the IT is that Shepard BREAKS indoctrination.

The entire premise of IT is that it's actually not the truth. As in, IT isn't true. If there was in any way some sense of him "breaking" the indoctrination it wouldn't be so deeply imbedded in skepticism.

No seriously, you can't prove that he is "breaking" indoctrination anymore than you can prove he had food poisoning.

Or it could be because it's the easiest to wrap 50 hours of gameplay?
When you are pressed for time, you pick the easiest way out. And that's exactly what Bioware did.

No, seriously, actually take some time to read the theory and understand it before questioning it.

I have and there is no connection. Sure, it could be true just like Shepard could be tripping balls from blood loss at the end. Just like the Starchild could be lying.
My point is that it would be very unimpressive if Shepard was indoctrinated at any point even if he "broke" it. With that said, it's still stupid to say that was the idea behind IT because that's simply not in the game as a minor or major aspect of the story. Not even in the leaked original endings...

The bit where the Catalyst said "do this" and Shepard did it.

At the end of ME3. You know the BioWare game that was released a couple of month ago. Heard it's pretty good but the end is kind of awkward.

How in the name of anything can you think Shepard surrendered?

Because Shepard was completely out of character and completely bought everything the StarDouche said?

sur·ren·der /səˈrendər/
Verb:Cease resistance to an enemy or opponent and submit to their authority.
Shepard does exactly this with the Catalyst.

2:Shepard does not endt he war on her terms, but on the Reapers terms
3:She beleives the words of the Reaper leader
4:She does nothing but summit
If that's not surrending to the Reapers, then I don't know what is.

Well, s/he didn't question the options, presented by star-brat and just gave up.
