She can tank, Crowd Control, support, and annihilate people at range.
With the top level spirit crystals not even the arch demon can withstand her.

When it comes to gameplay, i play with the Respec mod so i make sure whatever char i use is setup to play the way i like.
So far, my best combination is Main char Mage, Wynne and Morrigan all three of em as Arcanna Warrior and i just let em loose on Agressive setting and let them melee. Even with AW activated with all other sustained defense spells, they still have enough mana left to cast a few mezz spell or a big nuke.
My 4th character is whoever i wanna drag in the party around. Usually Leliana for unlocking stuff. I let her sing her bard songs and have her shoot arrows while my trio of AW are in melee. No reall need for agro control with that setup. If Leliana agroes and die i dotn care, the 3 AW cant die so i always win haha

Eventually, yes. It takes a while to get multiple rune slots and good runes.chefbobby203 wrote...
With 100 physical resist(easily attainable using 2 weapons since you have 6 rune slots), your dual wielder will resist a ton of stuns and knockdowns(I think my last dw warrior got knocked down a whopping 1 time tanking the high dragon). DW does the most damage in theory, and in practice(and works better running on tactics than the other 2 builds)

I usually have both GM and Master Hale runes and Aodh by the time my character is level 9. Very few enemies have stuns and knockdowns before this point.....

Am I the only one who finds Leliana useless besides her lockpicking skills? If I need range, I'm going Morrigan. If I want close combat rogue skills, it's Zevran. Is there some key skill that Leliana has that I'm missing?
she's just as good as zev if you respec her... and she can pick locks.

Shale is great in fights. She's the swiss army knife companion. You can switch her role from tank to melee damage to ranged damage to healer with one button click. Zevran is death with two knives if you build him and play him correctly. Oghren's problem is that I generally have Sten by the time I've picked him up.

Oghren? Useless? He overwrites Sten.

Turns out, I didn't. She just kept dying on me. Booted her ASAP. Only useless party member. She's the training wheels, of sorts, until you figure out combat, and then she's just baggage.

My 2H warrior found Sten the most useless (don't need 2 in a party, which means Oghren would also have been useless except that you NEED him in the party Paragon Of Her Kind). Shale also didn't get much playtime, but all the others I swapped in and out of the team as I needed.

The only party member I found to be truly useless was Wynne. At first I thought I needed her, then I specced my mage warden as a spirit healer, and she was out. On my second playthrough, this time as a rogue, I thought I needed her.

Wynne is amazing as an Arcane Warrior. She never dies, and keeps the party healed, and the game totally turns to easy mode once you deck her out right.
Training wheels... maybe, but you can totally forget about using health poltices when she's spec'd like that.

Without reading a single post: ALL TEAM MATES ARE OF EQUAL USEFULNESS.
If you find some to be weaker than others then it's your playing style.
This should be end of thread.

Zev also opens his yap a bit too much at times. I do not mind him hassling Morrigan, but I had to kick him out of Orzammar this most recent trip when he mouthed off to a widow; Ruck's mother. I was a bit shocked, and do not recall his exact words; just sent him away.

Agreed. There are no useless teammates; just people who don't realize the use for some of them.Hanz54321 wrote...

I've found Schmooples to be rather useless. You can't even talk to him or select him. And he vanishes during the Shriek attack.
I am guessing Nugs make burrows, or hides behind large mandolins....

We can only speculate at how dire the situation would have been had Sandal and Schmooples not ambushed the ambushers.Elhanan wrote...
