I've been thinking about what mike laidlaw said about our heroes from previous games returning in future entries.David gaider said if the warden was to make a cameo it would be as a npc and while I can imagine Hawke's visage being imported having different sets of dialogue depending on what his/her personality was by the end of da2, the warden is a bit of a mystery.

The warden didn't have the luxury of importing his/her looks or developing a consistent personality like hawke so I'm wondering...will my warden's personality be honorable, sarcastic or violent? and if so are there factors in origins that will determine this? or will every warden have a default personality and look depending on race and class? I know some of the da2 default histories state the warden as either being Kind, sarcastic or ruthless so there must be something...

Something I suggested on another thread, about importing choices from previous games to DA3 would work well. At the beginning of DA3, when you do your character creation, you also have a chance to create the appearance of the Warden (and Hawke, if necessary), for use in this game. Because of possible changes in graphics, that would save us the problem of the depiction of our heroes from one game to the next being messed. And, with the better features DA3 is sure to have, it will also allow us to make our Wardens look better, than we were capable of in DAO.

Yeah, if the Warden or Hawke are present as NPCs or companions, the best way to deal with physical appearance would be to either let us use the CC on them at the beginning of the game, or just prior to encountering them.

I don't see how an elven Warden can properly be imported with the revision made to elves.

I agree, I'd be devastated if my brunette/tan warden showed up with red hair and pale as snow flake Posted Image I also don't want their face to be hidden from view or always covered by something. The question of personality is still up in the air, I don't want my Humble warden showing up as some sarcastic douche putting on airs.

Or Welsh, like Merrill.

Voicing The Warden would be a huge mistake. And my Warden is ethnically Antivan (Latino). They wouldn't know the right voice to use for every Warden. A voiced Warden would simply agitate fans who prefer a silent protagonist to voiced protagonist; I'm also a little concerned we might see the DAII Zevran treatment done for elven Wardens.

They're better off just forgetting the Warden and Hawke.

Agreed, too many variables that could go horribly ****** up when it comes to our Warden. I'd say it would definitely be a lot easier to encounter Hawke, especially if the character designs are much the same as DA2.

Personally I wouldn't want to see either of them. I don't mind reference to them from a cameo or perhaps remnants of them from a fight they'd just had prior to our new protagonist getting there like "oh you just missed Hawke/the Warden, they were here not 10 minutes ago!" kinda thing, I'd say that would be a better way to go if the DA team insist on mentioning them at all.

I have to say, I'd rather BioWare left both my Warden and my Hawke alone. Probably not going to happen. But, to me, they've played their respective parts in the grand scheme of things and discreetly slipped off to that unknown land where all heroes inevitably end up. It probably has a beach and a tanning salon.
It's time for other, new protagonists to take the center of the stage, and for other secondary characters to join them.

I just figure they'd used the voice sets. Though that still wouldn't be that great of an idea since I chose the "cocky" voice for my human noble just because it's dialogue was funny.

I would PREFER if they left them alone. I love my Wardens/Hawkes but...I don't need to see them in the next game. Or...ever again. Too many variables.

So since many people are agreeing that they would much rather not see Hawke or the Warden in the next DA, would it be plausible to have the next character as the main character for future DA games? Making the Warden and Hawke "set-up" characters and using them to provide a back story for this new main character.

They shouldn't show them in DA 3 IMHO. If they do, I can't imagine how my Hawke and my Warden will look like with all those mods gone. Even if they are being forced to show them, they should wears helmets or just talk from the shadows or something.

All over Orlais there will be rumors of how the Hero of Ferelden has returned from the frozen wastes south of Ferelden with a barbarian army 60,000 strong. With conflicting rumors that he plans to invade and conquer Orlais, That he plans to repel a Qunari invasion or that he plans to crush the mages / templars. Wrote a fan-fic a while back about how he got info from the book Morrigan left him in witch hunt fortelling future events that he has prepared for by united the barbarian tribes of the south =D

Anyway best scenario is DA3's PC is with a small military host of whatever faction he/she is fighting for when they are attacked by another army. My Wardens army then enters and saves them, my pc is brought before my warden who will be fully clad in armor and a full helm on top of a horse and he makes a hand gesture to set me free, then have some other NPC fighting in my wardens army to free my DA3 pc.. Since I would rather my warden not speak because I would probably not like the voice

The Warden and Hawke will return … as golems. Because Flemeth captured them and turned them into her unwilling slaves.

It's simple... kill the Warden. Way too many variables. And think of the emotional impact if we learn Flemeth ate him/her! OH YES!

Hawke should totally make a legit cameo though, maybe as a quest giver. I totally want to see my FemHawke still hopelessly in love with Anders, preferrably with a tragic end to both of them. Touchingly tragic of course. :P

Complicated stuff, with a lot of variables in question. In SWTOR they gave both Revan and the Exile a cannon look because they needed to use them, however I hope that isn't the case here. I would prefer they get killed off if all else fails.
Either that or strap a helmet on both of them.

Same as he/she looked in DAO hopefully, although I would be even more satisfied if BioWare made slight changes such as added beard, longer hair, older looking (if possible, I highly doubt so).

Neh, I don't want to see my royal warden beside their spouse with a helmet on or any kind of armor for that mattter, leave the fighting to the grunts.I want to see her in elegant noble clothing. Posted Image I would also hate to see the warden killed off now with all that trouble in orlais brewing but speaking of ToR, you're able to completely alter the physical appearance of companions in game, surely this can be implemented into Da3 for the warden.

Any change of appearance can be explained by the Warden going threw the Calling.
The Calling can also be used to explain the Warden's change of personalty.

Putting aside the fact that the warden is not going to the calling for at least another decade, the calling does nothing to drastically  alter your looks or personality.

I would say, losing your hair, your eyes going white, your skin losing its pigments (or causing it to go dark if you prefer the old Darkspawn) and going mad from hearing the old gods in your head all time, would be very drastic.

Either way, If we do meet the Warden again, I think they will either just use a default appearance based on race and gender, or more likey, just be wearing a helmet.

Me presonally, I would prefer the helmet.
Mainly because I always wanted my Warden to wear a helmet at all times.

I would like to have the Warden back in DA3. I wouldn't mind being able to craft him/her in the CC, for example.
