Besides, you "have" to fight your way to the endgame, and there is plenty of mages there

still in ostagar or..the kokari wilds, so no real damage done, well then i got a pretty straight forward build then, lesss survivability but the game were way too easy during the last playthrough, 2handed human noble.... so now i look for a challenge

is dual striking + momentum worth it? or should i just run momentum+ berserk?
It is very nice if you can force crits on every hit anyway.
Momentum + Double Striking + Death Hex on enemy boss = Uber Damage
Similarly: Momentum + Pinpoint Strike (Rogue Duelist only) + Double Striking = Uber Damage

Still should use a CUN Rogue then because 1.02 has the Dex fix that doesnt make mob archers scattershot fiends.
I'm playing on Nightmare with the Dex Hotfix and have no issues. Sure, have to be carefull when many archers surround me, but it should be that way. That is what CC is for after all... and Line of Sight.
It's up to the OP of course. But I don't see why he wouldn't play with either the Hotfix of 1.02 - probably at least 1 of them should be working. And then the Dex way is very viable.
To the OP: Since you decided to play a Rogue, I heartily advise these two excellent threads by Discobird for more information about the class:

So for a warrior, its probably your best bet to increase your DPS against bosses. Against trashmobs that you'd kill in one or two hits, its better turned off since during those battles you want consistency moreso than pure DPS. But for the times you want to burst down high HP enemies, nothing is better for the DW warrior barring momentum.

is dual striking even any good? im thinkin about concentrating on crit % on my DW warrior and leaving it out completely and just doin zerk+ momentum+precise striking and possibly rally.
Momentum + Blood Thirst from Soldier's Peak and then either Berserker or Precise Striking.
That should do the most damage possible, but you probably have to run around in light/medium armor to keep all those sustainables up.

Is it plausible to have a DW warrior as main tank? My first playthrough I played a rogue and used Shale as my tank. I am making a warrior for a second playthrough and DW would be my first choice but I do plan on being the main tank, in which case is it imperative that I go sword/shield?
Especially if you have a healer, DW tank is just fine.

They get much better DPS, but slightly worse survivability. No immunity to flanking bonuses, no immunity to knockdowns, less defense due to no shield, DW talents give less defense bonuses, and they give up more by trying wear knight commander armor. The first two you can't do anything about, the next two is mitigated by the fact that you don't need STR at all for DW tank, and the last is just to make sure your mage has some anti-mage spells (Glyph line offers the best versatility and almost as good as mana clash in dealing with enemy mages).
So yeah, their defeciencies can be made up for, and if you do, then you've just greatly increased your DPS for your tank.
