I expect it to be more of the same cup o' fail that I didn't like the first time around, so i've got pretty much no expectations.

Unless BioWare magically manages to make everything work for me, which is about as probable as the Clippers winning an NBA title in the next 1000 years, then i'll be done with buying BioWare games day one and just buy them used for under $20 a few months later like I do with pretty much every other developer.

I don't think it was ever going to meet my expectations.

The fundamental problem with the ending, by Bioware's own admission, still exists. All we'll have now is a little less vagueness and less speculation to do ourselves.

Meet my expectations? OF COURSE IT WILL. By their statemetns, I expect the EC to be full of crap and lame explanations for all the BS they made without thinking.

So, of course I don't expect it to make me satisfied. I'll download it to see if I can get surprised but I'm 99% sure I'll not.

Since it won't make me satisfied, I'll never buy any Bioware/EA game again.

The interview was so mind boggling. They act like we're mad because we dont want their game to end. Really? REALLY? THATS WHY WE'RE MAD? No no no no no. With the hundreds of thousands of comments, the thousands of forums and articles, and the hundreds of videos outling step by step, point by point at why the ending is so broken, how is it even REMOTELY possible that they dont know why we are mad. The only way that this is possible is that they truly dont care about their fans anymore. They say they do, but they really dont.

So when the EC fails as I expect it to (95% its very underwhelming or they use very cheap even more cop outs with more space magic and flawed logic, 4% its very very VERY average or incredibly simple and bad, 1% its satisfactory at best.) I guess ill do Borderlands 2, Halo 4, and Black Ops 2 (its Treyarch so it will be much better than what activison turned CoD into)

I'm not expecting anything out of it. I just want to see what it does before I uninstall the game. I've already replayed it and I don't feel like doing more playthroughs.

I have already moved on. I'll watch the fallout, whether good or bad, of the EC and carry on elsewhere. One thing I might do though is one more run through of ME1 & 2 and let everyone die in the Suicide Mission. That will be my end to the Mass Effect series. ME 3 is just a shadow of what could have been greatness and Bioware treats its fanbase way to poorly to get my money anymore.

I'm going in with very low expectations. I have just a few expectations, but complete failure to meet them, will result in my detachment with Bioware. At most, I'll buy the SP dlc that will be released, but after that, I'm done. I can't stomach facing DA3.

Fans: Change the ending
BioW: What? Your tiny mind probably didn't understand it. How about we tell it to you again a bit slower?
Fans: No, just change it.
BioW: I'll re-iterate it.
Fans: Change it!!!
BioW: Space magic.

WOW this is exactly how it played out....

If you leave out the fact that it didn't play out like that AT ALL, then yes, that is EXACTLY how it played out.

Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bioware: This was the story we wanted to tell.  We're not going to change it.
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Reasoned, rational fans: We understand that you don't want to change what you created.  Could what you created at least make sense?
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bitter, angry, mob:  CHANGE THE ENDING!
Bioware: Okay, we're going to trying this again.  No, we're not fundamentally changing the ending, but we'll try to have it make sense for you.
Bitter, angry mob: WE HAVE IRRATIONAL EXPECTATIONS AND WE WANT THEM GIVEN TO US NOW!
Bioware: (shakes head)

Now, in the spirit of total fairness, that above does not tell the whole story either.  To do that, we'd have to go to before the game was ever produced and to where Casey Hudson started running his mouth on **** he had to have known there was no way the people under him could meet.

So, after three weeks of his mouth writing checks his team's asses couldn't cash, we THEN get to the scenario listed above.

"Bitter" and "anrgy" can also be used to describe BioWare's behavior. As well as "Defensive/in denial," and "arrogant." Lets not forget how they also spun the story to make it seem like fans wanted explanations, not changes. Now once the EC comes out, if anyone complains regardless of how much it sucks, they will look like insatiable whiners.

Honestly I will be depressed for awhile maybe a month tell bioware my money will never go towards you or EA again. Now what I expect others at least some is well lets say I hope EC is good cause there will probably be riots followed by lawsuits since this is it they won't make another ending dlc thing.

Bioware still makes some of the BEST STORY-DRIVEN GAMES out there. One ending will not change my overall opinion; I'm not that petty. So I'll just continue to judge each game on its merit whether or not to buy (I've never "automatically bought" any game just on principle)

Uninstall the game and Origin (ESPECIALLY Origin!), start the looooong process of trying to get a refund for my digital collector's edition, decide which rant to use as my farewell speech, ask a mod to please ban my no-longer-used account, send some more money Koobismo's way, and then see how many ways I can find to make Bioware's life miserable for a while. Everyone needs a hobby, right? Oh yeah, and see if I can sweet-talk the poor dev who gets me into sending my farewell rant upstairs. I work retail myself, I know the misery of dealing with ticked-off customers due to something stupid the higher-ups did. I'd rather bother the people responsible than some poor guy/girl in the trenches.

I'm keeping my thresh hold for success for them very low.

I just hope they make it make sense and actually make the ending of the game, not keep you from wanting to re play it. The original ending just depressed me.

while waiting to see what they did with the EC i've been playing the witcher 1&2 then D3 came out and i'm like what is this mass effect thing =D but if it's bad then I wont be getting DA3 cause 2 was bad enough IMHO.
