Rather than make a new thread, I'll just post this there. Probably just troll bs but it gives me some slight pause.

"Considering they are showing a funeral moment with Hackett similar to DA:O I find it hard to believe it will leave any room for a IT theory.

Also if rumors be true the ending where Shep lives has been cut out as well as the end credits bit with Aldrin and the kid."

If it fails, to which I think it will, it will just add to the accumulation of reasons I dislike the mass effect franchise and bioware in their current states. I had problems with the ending, it felt largely rushed and inadequently thought out, but really it wasn't reasons enough for me to abandon bioware totally. But then, bioware came out and rambled a whole load of crap, did not face the lies and addressed none of the concerns. Honestly this will just be a final nail in the coffin.

If it fails?

I'll probably still play. A sucktacular ending won't scare me away.

Journey > Destination and all that.

If it fails? I'm probably gonna be depressed as hell, and I won't play any Bioware games again in my life, not even speaking about Mass Effect 3 and it's Multiplayer.

I'm expecting the EC to not change much. I will purchase future ME 3 single player DLC regardless. If the next Mass Effect games do not take place after Mass Effect 3 then I will no longer be interested in Mass Effect.

I swear to the gods that I'll go down to BioWare's HQ with a 12 gauge... and invite Casey Hudson and Mac Walters to a friendly day of trap shooting followed by a nice steak dinner.

I won't do anything, because I'm content, whilst still underwhelmed/disappointed, with the endings. They were never as horrible for me as they seem to be for everyone else.

But I am looking forward to all of the non-constructive and pointless anti-ending posters to finally leave BSN, as many have claimed they'll do. And the end of IT; I'm looking forward to that, too.

lmfao. My thread just got locked, so i will continue my discussion in here as permitted by the moderator. And no it's not the end of the line. It's just the beginning, Mr. Moderator.

So, I guess I missed something, but apparently there is a rumor going around that they might just cut the "Shepard Lives" Scene altogether to fix the EMS situation, so all players don't have to worry about how high their EMS is for the EC ending on Tuesday. And that picture that was leaked of all the squadmates standing around the memorial wall on the Normandy after the crash could be the scene that is default for everyone who had a high enough EMS where their crew mates surivived.

I will be beyond pissed if they were actually stupid enough to cut out the "Shepard breath scene" even though the player including myself did everything right and took the time to play the game. Us players that did this deserve an ending where Shepard can live. I think we have earned that right to at least know that Shepard lived. Consider it as a reward for all the hard work and effort put into the game and now if this is true they want to take that away? It's a damn RPG game where it's your story. You control what your ultimate outcome is and if you made all the right choices and prepared the correct way for the final battle, you're damn right I expect my Shepard to live. The Shepard breath scene at the end was one of the only scenes I actually enjoyed in that horrific ending. I was expecting them to maybe add more to that scene in this EC where Shepard rises up as heroic music starts to play cutting to the credits, but know I am astonished that this may actually be a possibility now based on what others have said.

I am beyond pissed right now as it is from hearing about this rumor for the first time. This could be an old rumor, but I just started posting again on these forums a few days ago. If this rumor is indeed true, I'd rather just keep the red Space Magic ending as it is with no closure or clarification at all than have my reward for all my hard work, Shepard living, be taken away and replaced by nonsense. This would be a huge kick in the nuts to all the people who worked hard to get their EMS high enough and spent hours getting the perfect playthrough only to get the same ending as everyone else where Shepard always dies.

Now, I ask all of you. How would you guys feel if this rumor was indeed true and the scene is removed? I know that would be the final straw for me with everything BiowEAr related and I know many others will beyond pissed as well.

I'd be very disapointed. So much work, so much story, so much love just to trip at the finish line and deprive us of a choice or a possibility of a happy end at all would be beyond my comprehension.

I'll just repost my ramble from your thread here then..

It just seems logical to cut it out.. That stops all the IT talks and goes with that funeral scene we see the crew going through.. Just face it.. This is bioware's story and shepard can't survive

ps.. I wish my shep could of lived to have a nice life with his LI.. But Bioware just loves those dark endings too much to even squeeze in a choice for 1 happy one.

I secretly want them to work this song into the end credits: grooveshark.com/s/Master+And+Commander+End+Credits/4lJzrp

Tali on Violin and Liara on Cello!

Also, you win +2 internets and +3 film knowledge points if you remember the movie scene which this references.

And I will respond here with what I was going to say before being interupted. If that is the case then this game should be reomved from the RPG category and be moved into the dog sh!t category. There should always be an ending where the hearo can live in any RPG game. It's your story, your ending, but like I said this would prove this game is not an RPG once and for all if this is the case and it will forever be a pile of dog sh!t.

Let's face it, there is a point when a series reaches a level of popularity that the publisher takes control and reworks it into the largest cash cow possible. Mass Effect reached this point at the tale end of ME2/Build up to ME3. After this point has been reached the series enters a state of terminal decline.

Man the lifeboats and lower away!

I agree.. ME for the most part been player choice up until the ending of the trilogy.. It almost seems like they take our choice away so they can take away our happy ending.. In the end they do say however that it was their story all along.. Can't believe they waited until the end of a whole trilogy to let us know we don't really get to choose how to end our hero's journey..

I will wait for the fan reaction tomorrow. No use speculating about the ending and the rumours. The EC is a compromise and I appreciate the fact that they at least tried to improve the experience.

If the EC doesn't live up to what was said...I will still buy Bioware games but the difference would be no more pre-orders. Purchase would depend on fan reviews
