WHEN it fails -  let's face it, the way they described it it's bound to fail - I walk away from this company and never look back. If they can't write a proper ending for their flagship franchise, they don't deserve my money ever again.

In a sense you are completely right. The whole point about this fiasco was not the investment of money, but the emotional investment in the story. The money is incidental as it is the only real way that we consumers have to express our displeasure.[piracy discussion removed]

Playing ME3 is too expensive in term of emotion and time because the ending doesn't make the investment worth it.

DA2 people said this, but from what I've played of DA2, it's just different. It's not actually that terrible.

ME3 however, is a whole order of magnitude different, IMHO.

I for one am serious about not coming back until ME franchise is fixed.

You will all keep buying BioWare's stuff, because it's the best that the game industry can offer. Stop lying to yourselves or speaking as if you hoped BioWare would read what you say and think "oh my god they're never going to buy our games again and we must fullfill their every demand!".

Most of you post stuff because it's free and you just have nothing better to do at the moment.

If the extended cut fails to satsify me, I won't buy any more products from EA or Bioware in the future. Okay, maybe I will, but not without very careful research, and certainly no more pre-orders or going for any contraversial products. I'll also try to avoid their products anyway, because they wouldn't any more deserve the full price of the money I did spend on ME3, and I can't really take that back from them, only from the retailer if anything, and I did get some enjoyment of parts of the game and spend a lot of time playing the multi-player, although that wasn't exactly fun, it was still an interesting challenge at times and I did it partly out of hope for my user feedback data to help them fix bugs, and partly to keep up my skills in case they fix the bugginess and balance issues that reduce the fun of it for me, and also to try to potentially keep up skills for if/when my friends get ME3 if the extended cut fixes it (none of my friends pre-ordered, and after they heard about the issues regarding the ending, they decided to wait to see if it would be fixed, and then when the extended cut was announced, they decided to wait to hear about if that fixes it before they decide if they'll get the game) so I could play multi-player with my friends if the game is fixed by the EC and my friends get it.

Also, if the extended cut doesn't fix the game to my satisfaction, I won't reccomend it to my friends. That is probably four or so potential purchases Bioware/EA won't get if the EC doesn't fix the game to an acceptable level.

very  dissapointing podcast, developers still sound like seriously detached from fanbase (no improvement from Boston convention at all)

Borderlands 2 I will dig in to , but I am sorry to break it to You : BO2 is from EA too, so no go for me

"It's just different" lol yeah different as in it had a mediocre story, art style, gameplay, and VA, and made you pay real money to customize your character, sure! Differant as in it was a 40 hour parody of a good RPG cuz they couldn't deliver an actual good RPG. I agree.

Just give it up, people. EA trickled down the ranks of Bioware until there was no longer a distinction between the two. It was inevitable. Their games have gotten more and more watered down since Origins and the talent has slowly washed away until you realize it's easier and easier to focus on the good elements because there are so few of them. All relative to works of Bioware, of course. People will argue that games like DA2 "aren't great by Bioware standards, but as good as other games". Why would I want to support average games from the shadow of a developer I loved when I should endorse games by CDProjekt and Bethesda and Valve who are constantly pushing the envelope? It's a whole lot easier to do when you listen to Casey and Mac verbally stroke each other in front of Jessica Merizan proving how out-of-touch they are with their fanbase. "This has been a labor of love", "we care about this universe as much as the fans". I loled so hard. The very fact that they have to argue that nobody starves to death just shows you how bad and unfixable the ending really is.

We will always have KOTOR, Jade Empire, NWN, ME1, ME2, and Origins. I will enjoy them for a long time, especially my copy of ME1 WITHOUT the EA logo. Which is kind of symbolic. But I suggest to not retain hope that Bioware will "rediscover" their former glory or anything. IMO Patrick Weekes is the only quality talent they have left.

The ME series was good, but with all the wasted potential (not just with the endings), they ultimately failed IMO.

Edit: Also what claim do you have that I have bought everything Bioware releases?

I probably wont.  

Sure some people will say that but will still buy them, but honestly, EA is pissing me off a lot lately and so is Bioware. I can easily go on without a bioware game. 

And considering the fact that they're now making an RTS, I feel like they're being pushed to thin and will soon be abused like all other EA developers and eventually go  the way of bullfrog.

So if EC is what I expect it to be, I'll still try and enjoy ME1~3, but won't be buying any ME3 DLC or any game with Casey and Mac's names on them. I'll still buy Dragon Age 3 though. I still have hope for that series, even if 2 wasn't as good as Origins.

^ This.  I'm actually enjoying DA2 (so far) despite the negative reviews.  ME I'll probably be done with it.  There's no real point in playing the series any longer if the EC fails to provide what I had hoped.

i plan on watching it on youtube. if i decide its worthy of a download (i doubt it). i will play it, and maybe even start my second playthrough. if it sucks (most likely). i will finally trade the game in to gamestop
