Here's where I'm at: The Extended Cut's coming out real soon, and to fully enjoy that, I'm gonna need high Galactic Readiness, which I've let go down for a few weeks. This means I'll have to play quite a bit of Multiplayer, which is bound to get dull fast. What would make it not dull, though, is if I was able to use the class I was wanting to play for a long time but could never get; the Vorcha.
What I was planning on doing was spending around $20.00 on BioWare points, and buying several Premium Spectre packs with them. If I don't get it at that point, so be it,but still, the odds are pretty decent. However, most people feel like, more or less, if you spend money on MP you're a complete idiot.
So, given the situation, would it be dumb?
Would buying packs with real money make me an idiot?

Yea go for it.
I spent a little bit when I first got the game, and a little bit when the last dlc came out.
Now if you had nothing left but URs to get, you would be an idiot.

As long as you feel justified what does it matter what others think of your spending habits? Remember though buy purchasing packs with real money you are effectively supporting the pay to win model that gaming is adopting.

It is your money to do with as you so choose. Can't really say if it would be dumb or not as only you can really decide that. You can get the credits eventually, but if you want it that much faster, well the choice is yours.

It's up to you, really. If you play bronze matches, you can save up credits for PSPs and raise your EMS without spending real money. Remember the store is a lottery and there are no guarantees.

If you so desperate for getting Awesomesauce weapon, go for it, but don't cry if you get the weapon that you don't want.
I Played ME3 MP without using Real Money from the VERY START. and Now i Have all Uncommon and Rare Weapon to X except for the Ultra Rare still long way

If you have the extra cash, and do not need it for anything else. Food rent etc. Then nobody's opinion matters, just yours. If you have the extra money, you might as well spend it on convenience and entertainment, this is America. I find nothing stupid with this concept at all, people spend millions a year on convenience and entertainment.
Well I am in America at least...

Not in the case of this game.
With this game it's more like funding the free DLCs.
And the amount you would have to pay to "win" on ME3 would be astronomical.
Buying the kit shortcuts on BF3 would be a better example of pay to win.....and then pay for dlc......and for a server.

It would make your intelligence questionable in my eyes. But that's just me, and if I were you, I wouldn't worry what I think.

Yup. If you're looking for a justification to buy packs in this game, this is it. You're supporting free content releases.SeaJayX wrote...

Disclaimer: I don't buy packs with real money.

If you're having doubts and have to ask about spending real money on Packs then I wouldn't do it. Or at least, take a day or two to think about it. Is there something better you could buy with that money?

Since you're asking advice, it seems to me that you should consider it from this perspective: how much is Extended Cut worth to you?
We're getting it at no charge, of course, but your primary motivation for spending money on multiplayer is to allow you to get the most out of your Extended Cut experience. With that in mind, what would you have been willing to pay (if anything) for the Extended Cut DLC? Your answer to that question should be all the answer you need.

Go play a couple matches with those shotguns, buy another pack.
Obviously the RNG gods want you to be a shotgunner and those that appease them are often rewarded.

It doesn't make you an idiot unless you complain that you freely chose to spend money that you didn't have to and didn't get what you want.
