Try the new stuff, you might be surprised - especially if one of those shotguns is a GPS.

I don't see the point, but it's your money. Ask yourself this a year from now will you be playing ME3 multi enough to justify investing in it?

Just a heads up $20.00 bucks means nothing and there are no odds for getting or not getting what you want. If it was a 1-5 or -1-10 chance then maybe you could go for it. But that is not the way it works. Like fliping a quarter the odds stay the same for every pack rather than increase for each pack you buy. It's totally random, and really comes down to luck. Maybe you stike gold or maybe you see nothing you want for 50 packs. Or for 10 packs in a row you may get ultra rares. Who knows. The odds are based on the whole community not the individual, so if one guy is getting a ton of stuff another player may be getting nothing.

It's like anything else--do you need the money for something else, and will you feel bad for spending it? There's nothing wrong with it, it's your money, spend it how enjoy it. A lot comes down to the time/money tradeoff--if you have more time than money, spend that. If you have more money than time, spend that.

I had some Bioware points left-over, I used those. I didn't buy any more Bioware points than I already had, however. No big deal. (And up until this week, I played a ton, probably 20 hours/week starting about a month after release).

I see in this way.

One hour of my job is about 70$ after tax, that's about 20 psp. To get them playing is about 8 hours of gold wih random farming.

I rather spend 70$ every here and there and do fun games....

If the game isn't fun without dropping $70 "every here and there"...

LOL... Just enjoy the free dlc...

Having a character that you like to play and a gun that you like is fun too... Going gold with an avenger I is not all this fun....

I think its a waste of space buying bioware points. I bought £30.00 worth 2 packs. I got absolute crap, better still 6 failures or lost connection blah blah. I had to contact EA and it took over 3 weeks to be sorted. I will never buy anymore. I have got more through earning credits and getting spectre packs rather than PSP's. I think its a waste of real money, but from the experience I have had and the amount of triple cards, what more can I say. I would seriously think about it. I would buy the small pack and see what you get first.

Op if you have to ask the question it sounds like you are already leaning towards yes. And besides, it's not like you need to play huge amounts of mp to get the readiness back up. It only decays so far if you haven't been playing.

If you have cash to spend, then spend it. You won't be called an idiot for it unless it affects your more essential requirements that are money dependent. As simple as that.

Simply put: What's more worth to you; $20 or the time you would need to play to get the same amount of PSPs? For many of us, $20 is worth less than 1 productive hour, and it'd make sense to buy some packs. Others have lesser incomes or priorities, and the hours spent is a good investment. Neither are necessarily good or bad choices in a free world. Only if you're starved of cash or time would the investment be an unintelligent one.

One issue, though, is that the value of the packs are much lower than before, and likely to decline even further as more content is added. Adding more items, at least for those paying real money, would encourage spending.

I only buy Jumbo packs with my money - I go through consumables at an alarming rate, but that is the price you pay for playing a tank and having to pull your teams @rse out of a tight scrape on Silver/Gold. I typically use up all my missiles especially on the 10th wave pizza deliveries.

Not in the case of this game.

With this game it's more like funding the free DLCs.

Yup. If you're looking for a justification to buy packs in this game, this is it. You're supporting free content releases.

Disclaimer: I don't buy packs with real money.

It's not free DLC if your funding it by buying the packs! Image IPB

Disclaimer: I also do not buy packs with real money.

However, at the end of the day it's your choice.

Yes it would. It would make you one of the many idiots ensuring the rest of us gets stuff for free, but an idiot nontheless.

Nublet gun if I ever saw one.  Get a Claymore and understand what a true shotgun can do.

Honestly what gives you, or anyone else the right to make that judgement?

I did it off and on at first. I'm busy, and I can afford it, and I enjoy it. Movie and popcorn is more money, and IMO this is way more fun.

I did it for the sole reason I was enjoying MP a lot. I've bought dozens and dozens of PSPs with ingame currency, but one day, shortly after the released the first DLC, I decided to buy a couple as a way to support the continuing development of the game. Spent $20 on PSPs and don't regret it (I did get my first widow back then, which was awesome, too).
