You had it right with DA:O

You ROYALLY screwed that up with DA2

Are you going to pander to EA and the masses of ****** JRPG players AGAIN or are you going to nut up and deliver what people expect from a true successor to Baldurs Gate like you origionally intended?

DA:O - Almost-perfect successor to BG

DA2 - Final Fantasy clone (gasp, suprise! your with EA)

Bioware is EA so they are pandering to themselves. You are under the impression Bioware is a separate entity and it is not. So yes if people wish to keep their jobs they will be doing what their bosses tell them. Bioware is owned lock stock and barrel by EA.

And sorry DA2 is not a Final Fantasy clone and quite a few gamers on this forum have played both DAO, DA2 and JRPGs. They are not dumb asses in any respect.

For one, Bioware was NOT EA until AFTER DA:O.... they sold out. That was my first point.

Secondly, my OTHER point was that the WHOLE PURPOSE of the Dragon Age universe, to begin with, was supposed to be the SUCCESSOR to a genre and they completely decided to take a dump on that when EA bought them out. Im just simply calling them out for it.... and Yes, DA2 is a freaking JRPG... NOTHING like DA:O, nevermind a "successor" to a series like BG.

You can like where they are taking the series, Im just calling them out for not going with it where they said they origionally would. I call a sell out when I see one. The ball is in their court now to see if they can make good on their origional promise of "successor" to BG like they origionally intended.... or weather they pander to the masses for some linear story with a sprinkle of side quests.

Do me a favor, go play BG 1 and 2, Icewind Dale, NWN 1 and 2, KOTOR 1 and 2,  hell even Fallout 1 and 2 or even DA:O.... and I dare you to compare them to DA2.

Dont get me wrong, DA2 was a good game for what it was, but they sold out when you understand what the origional concept was supposed to be.

Plenty of topics to discuss DA2. We don't need another one, particularly one with as little discussion as this one.

Locking.
